One of our very own officer Resendez an SRO received some praise by a community member. Great work and thank you for recognizing our Officer! Policing isn’t just about putting people in jail, but it is about taking care of those in our communities.

Today FOP Lodge 31 had the pleasure of meeting some amazing folks at CBH Homes. They generously made a donation to our lodge, this donation will go into our Officer Emergency Fund. The purpose of this fund is to immediately provide support to our members in their time of need.

CBH Homes continues to step forward, being a leader showing the importance of advocating for public safety. Corey Barton your team are great hosts and some amazing people. That comes from a culture built day in and day out which I feel is important to recognize.

As a smaller Lodge community partnerships like this one are instrumental in our goal of taking care of our members.

We also want to thank you for having one our own members Chief Rex Ingram of the Caldwell Police Department as a guest speaker.

Today all across the world we sit back and reflect on the sacrifices so many men and women have made.
That sacrifice includes signing a blank check that could include their own lives, that is payable to the United Stares at any time.

One of our Lodge Members happens to be the Chief of Police for Caldwell.

Today marks one year of serving in this role. He sent out an email this morning to his CPD family, thanking, congratulating and praising them while also not forgetting our mission is not complete as crime knows no time, or jurisdiction. We must keep on working hard to ensure our communities are safe.

Chief Ingram has made changes throughout the last year for the Caldwell Police Department, with a goal of making Caldwell the best it can be. There has been a lot of changes that have been needed and help Caldwell Police Officers have more success today than they did yesterday.

The Chief, like anyone, is not perfect and has made decisions at times that were not loved by all, which would be an impossible ask to satisfy everyone’s wants. However, he has never once denied meeting with the FOP to discuss those decisions and come to a solution or a better explanation for the change to address the concerns raised by Lodge members.

Since the FOP has a mission to support our members, this open line of communication, trust, and willingness to listen, is integral in our common goals in this lodge as well as the agencies this lodge represents.

Today the FOP Lodge 31 hosted a Memorial Day Murph. This was an opportunity to get out and remember our fallen military members who paid the ultimate sacrifice. We also used this time to remember our fallen first responders who have also paid the ultimate sacrifice.

Participants took the time to write the names of some of those that have made the ultimate sacrifice.

They then completed the Murph which consists of doing the following:
- 1 Mile Run
- 100 Pull-ups
- 200 Pushups
- 300 Squats
- 1 Mile Run

All of our participants worked hard putting the pain,Sweat, and of course tiredness aside to complete this to remember our fallen. Although not everyone can be here with us we refuse to let them be forgotten.

This event allows everyone to come together and reflect, while also raising money for an amazing organization Idaho COPS who have an important mission of “Rebuilding shattered lives of survivors and co-workers affected by line of duty deaths, through partnerships with law enforcement and the community.”

Fop Lodge 31 was proud to partner to host this event however, we would not have been able to do this without Caldwell Police Department being willing to give us their range to use. For that we are extremely grateful, Thank you for your continued support.

The Caldwell Fire Department showed their support bringing their ladder truck out, adding the name of one of their own who paid the ultimate sacrifice serving Caldwell. They even let us get a great picture from above! Thank you.

FOP Lodge 31 is hosting the first annual Memorial Day Murph Challenge fundraiser to benefit C.O.P.S Idaho Chapter. The proceeds from registration fees will be donated to C.O.P.S Idaho chapter in honor of Cpl. Cooper’s sister, Lexi Harris, who was killed in the line of duty in Seattle, Washington, on June 13, 2021.
