🇺🇸 VETERAN HOMELESSNESS ISN’T ALWAYS VISIBLE 🇺🇸

When most people think of homelessness, they picture someone sleeping on a sidewalk or in a shelter. But the reality is that Veteran homelessness often looks very different—and much of it remains hidden from public view.

A Veteran may be sleeping in their car. A family may be moving from couch to couch. A woman Veteran escaping domestic violence may be relying on temporary housing to stay safe. A rural Veteran may be isolated from the resources needed to regain stability.

These Veterans may not be visible, but they are experiencing homelessness.

At Building Stronger Veterans, we believe understanding the many forms of homelessness is critical to ending it. Housing instability impacts physical health, mental wellness, employment opportunities, family relationships, and overall quality of life. It creates barriers that make it difficult for Veterans to access the support they need and deserve.

That is why our mission remains clear:

Our Mission Is To End Veteran Homelessness Through Sustainable Housing, Holistic Support Services And Employment Opportunities.

While programs and resources exist, ending Veteran homelessness requires more than temporary solutions. It requires communities, organizations, and individuals working together to create lasting change and ensure every Veteran has a safe place to call home.

Every one of us can make a difference:

✔️ Recognize the hidden signs of homelessness.
✔️ Share resources with Veterans in need.
✔️ Support organizations creating long-term solutions.
✔️ Treat every Veteran with dignity, compassion, and respect.

At Building Stronger Veterans, we are working toward a future where no Veteran is left behind. Through outreach, community partnerships, and our vision to build Idaho’s first tiny home community dedicated to homeless Veterans, we are creating pathways to stability, purpose, and hope.

No Veteran should have to fight the battle of homelessness alone.

If you are a Veteran experiencing homelessness or are at risk of becoming homeless, message us and we will help you!

🇺🇸 Happy 251st Birthday, United States Army! 🇺🇸

Today, June 14th, we proudly celebrate the 251st birthday of the United States Army—the oldest branch of America’s Armed Forces and a symbol of strength, sacrifice, and service to our nation.

Established on June 14, 1775, more than a year before the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the Army was born when the Continental Congress authorized the formation of the Continental Army under the leadership of General George Washington. For more than two and a half centuries, Soldiers have stood on the front lines of freedom, answering the call to serve with courage, honor, and unwavering dedication.

Today, we honor the men and women who have worn the Army uniform throughout our nation’s history. From the Revolutionary War to present-day missions around the world, their sacrifices have helped preserve the freedoms we enjoy and the values we hold dear.

At Building Stronger Veterans, this day holds special meaning. We are proud to recognize our Founder and CEO, Adam Arriero, for his service in the Idaho Army National Guard. Like so many Veterans, Adam’s commitment to service did not end when he hung up the uniform. Today, he continues that mission by leading Building Stronger Veterans and working tirelessly to end Veteran homelessness through sustainable housing, holistic support services, and employment opportunities.

His dedication reflects the enduring spirit of Army service—putting others first, answering the call when needed, and continuing to serve a cause greater than oneself.

To every Soldier currently serving, every Army Veteran, and every military family who has supported them along the way, we thank you for your sacrifice, resilience, and commitment to our nation.

Happy 251st Birthday, United States Army.

This We’ll Defend.

🇺🇸 Honoring Flag Day 🇺🇸

Today, June 14th, we celebrate Flag Day, honoring one of the most powerful symbols of freedom in the world—the flag of the United States of America.

On June 14, 1777, the Continental Congress officially adopted the first American flag during the Revolutionary War. The original design featured 13 stars and 13 stripes representing the thirteen colonies that united in the fight for independence.

Today, our flag proudly displays:

• 50 stars representing our fifty states
• 13 stripes honoring the original colonies that founded our nation

The colors of our flag carry deep meaning:

🔴 Red — Valor, courage, and sacrifice

⚪ White — Purity, integrity, and the ideals upon which America was founded

🔵 Blue — Vigilance, perseverance, and justice

For many Americans, the flag is a symbol of freedom. For Veterans, it often carries an even deeper meaning. It represents the oath to support and defend the Constitution, the bonds forged in service, and the sacrifices made by generations of men and women who answered the call to serve.

Our flag has flown over battlefields, draped the caskets of fallen heroes, welcomed service members home, and stood as a beacon of hope through our nation’s greatest triumphs and challenges.

Today, let us remember that the American flag is more than cloth and colors—it is the story of our nation, the symbol of our freedoms, and a reminder that liberty has always come at a cost.

May we honor those who served beneath it, those who continue to serve today, and those who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect all that it represents.

🇺🇸 Happy Flag Day.

Honoring Women Veterans Day 🇺🇸

Today, on Women Veterans Day, we recognize and celebrate the courage, sacrifice, and service of the women who have worn our nation’s uniform.

From the battlefields of history to the front lines of today, women have answered the call to serve with honor, strength, and unwavering dedication. Their contributions have helped shape our military, protect our freedoms, and inspire future generations.

At Building Stronger Veterans, we are proud to honor our Director of Mental Health and Wellness, Doctor of Nursing Practice in Psychiatric Mental Health, Chief Master Sergeant Virginia Holmgren and all women Veterans in our communities who continue to lead, mentor, and serve long after their military service ends.

Today, we say thank you to every woman Veteran—for your sacrifices, your resilience, and your commitment to something greater than yourself.

Your service matters. Your story matters. And your legacy continues to inspire us all.

June 6, 1944 — D-Day

On this day, 82 years ago, thousands of brave Allied soldiers stormed the beaches of Normandy in one of the most pivotal moments in world history.

They faced impossible odds, relentless enemy fire, and an uncertain future—not for personal gain, but for the cause of freedom.

Many never made it home.

Today, we remember the courage, sacrifice, and selfless service of the men who stepped into history on the shores of Normandy. Their actions changed the course of the world and secured the liberties we enjoy today.

As we honor the heroes of D-Day, let us never forget the price of freedom and the debt we owe to those who answered the call when their nation needed them most.

🇺🇸 We remember. We honor. We are grateful.

“These are the boys of Pointe du Hoc. These are the men who took the cliffs. These are the champions who helped free a continent.” — President Ronald Reagan

This Memorial Day, we pause for more than just a long weekend, backyard BBQs, or the start of summer.

Memorial Day is about remembrance.
It is about honoring the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to this nation — those who never made it home, never got another holiday, another birthday, another chance to hug their families.

Their sacrifice is the reason we live in freedom today.

As we gather with family and friends this weekend, let us never forget the true cost of that freedom. Take a moment to remember the fallen. Say their names. Share their stories. Fly the flag proudly.

To all Gold Star families and to every family carrying the weight of loss — we stand with you, we honor your heroes, and we thank you.

Freedom was never free.
