📜🐾 BREAKING HISTORY: THE LEGEND OF GREG (FORMERLY KNOWN AS OREO) 🖤🤍

Historians will one day speak of a handsome young gentleman named Oreo… who overcame his fears, discovered the joy of friendship, and reinvented himself as GREG. 😂

Nearly four months ago, Oreo was a terrified, shut-down puppy who barely knew how to enjoy life. Today? He’s a happy, playful, easygoing dude who LOVES his doggy friends!

But here’s the part of history we’d really like to change…

Oreo is now one of our LONGEST residents. 💔

While others have found their happily ever after, this incredible boy is still waiting for his.

And Greg’s demands for his future kingdom? Surprisingly reasonable.

Move over, Dreamhouse! These two cuties are ready for the REAL dream… a family of their very own! 🏡💗

Ken and Barbie are absolutely THRIVING in their foster home, and y’all, these babies are SMART! They’re already doing fantastic with crate and potty training, love everyone they meet, and have those fun, playful puppy personalities we adore! 🥹

🐶 Meet Ken & Barbie!
🌟 Approximately 4 months old
🐾 Believed to be Terrier-type mixes
🐕 Expected to be large dogs when fully grown
💉 Up to date on puppy vaccines
🧠 Smart little cookies mastering their puppy manners!

Both Ken and Barbie will need new foster homes starting NEXT WEEKEND if they haven’t found their forever families!

We may not know their exact breeds, but we DO know these two have SO much love to give!

🏡 WE HAVE THE DOGS. WE JUST NEED THE COUCHES. 🛋️

Empowering Pawz Rescue, along with so many shelters and rescues in our community, is in desperate need of foster families. 🆘

At Empowering Pawz, we strive to save the dogs who need us MOST. The heartworm-positive dogs. The ones completely shut down and terrified in shelters. The ones overlooked time and time again.

🥺 The dogs who very likely wouldn’t have made it out alive without someone stepping up for them.

And we DID step up. We made them a promise. Now we need our community to help us keep it. 💜

These are AMAZING dogs who have come so far!

🐕 Dog friendly
✅ Crate & potty trained
💕 Sweet, loving companions
🛋️ Just want a couch and people to love

Without fosters, these dogs are facing boarding. After everything they’ve overcome, the last thing we want is to put them back behind kennel doors. 💔

We’re praying our amazing community can come together and open just a few doors. 🙏

Benny AND Finnick—now Cheerio—have officially been adopted! 🎉

Our adventure buddy Benny and sweet snuggle bug Cheerio now have people to call their own. No more waiting to be picked… these boys are HOME. 🥹

To their fosters: thank you for loving them until their forever families could. And to their adopters: thank you for giving these special boys their next chapter.

HOW is this handsome little dude the ONLY one of his siblings who hasn’t received a SINGLE adoption application?! 😭

Seriously, y’all. We’re baffled.

Devon is a certified toy expert, professional cuddle enthusiast, part-time stick inspector and an all-around GREAT dude! 😂❤️

He’s got that signature serious face, but underneath it is one of the sweetest, silliest little hound boys you’ll ever meet!

All five are adult, dog friendly, house/potty trained and crate trained. They need a safe home while they wait for forever.

Boarding may be our only option, but it means another stressful change for them and a substantial expense for Empowering Pawz.

Can you give one of them a soft place to land? We cover vetting and supplies. You provide a safe place and love.

Some puppies are calm, quiet little angels.

And then… there’s GENE. 🤣

This little Rockstar wakes up every morning with 47 things on his to-do list, 12 imaginary appointments, and absolutely ZERO intention of slowing down! 💨

Gene is SPUNKY, silly, ridiculously adorable, and convinced the entire world is his personal playground. 😂

He’s got the zoomies, the goofy antics, the sweetest personality, and enough charm to get away with just about ANYTHING… seriously, you can’t stay upset with him.🤭

🐾 New names. New beginnings. Welcome Shyla & Jedi to the EP family!

Shyla (previously Coleen) and Jedi (previously Crew) have officially left shelter life behind! ❤️

Yes, our rescue owner Kara has lost her mind. When your heart is bigger than your head… welp, apparently you say, “We’ll figure it out,” and welcome two more doggos. 😅

Now we REALLY need help figuring it out.

These sweet siblings are approximately 1–2 years old, around 40 lbs, and terrier/shepherd mixes. Both are fully vetted and heartworm negative!

They’re VERY dog friendly, but the world around them feels pretty scary. They’re timid with people, but they don’t have a mean bone in their bodies. Just two incredibly sweet souls who need time to feel safe. 🥺

Both are very quiet and have done GREAT in their kennels! They’re trying so hard to navigate all these changes, and we’re already so proud of them.

🏡 We urgently need foster homes with:
• A secure fenced yard—these pups are a flight risk.
• A playful, confident dog to help show them the ropes.
• Patient people willing to let them settle in at their own pace.

EP covers vetting and supplies. You provide the safe place and love. Even a temporary 2–3 week foster would help so much!

We got them out. Now let’s help them feel at home. Message us to foster Shyla or Jedi. 🐶
