Angels In Training Senior Dog Sanctuary

Angels In Training Senior Dog Sanctuary Our goal is to rescue elderly dogs from high-kill shelters and give them love and take care of all their needs for the rest of their lives. Thank you so much!!!

Hi, Gåtor from Angels In Training Senior Dog Sanctuary here. I just want to give a quick introduction and tell you a little about us. My girlfriend Patti and I have been adopting senior dogs from shelters and other situations for many many years. We give these wonderful seniors a home filled with love, good food and lots and lots of beds for them to choose from. They get great vet care from the wo

nderful vets and staff at *The Official* Malibu Coast Animal Hospital. We spoil these babies and provide them with whatever they need for the rest of their lives. We've always done this on our own and out of our own pocket. We're glad that we were able to do it. Over the years friends have urged us to apply for our 501(c)(3) nonprofit status. They said that they and many other people would be willing to donate to help us help the senior dogs. So, we finally did it! Just two days before Christmas of 2016 we received the letter from the IRS confirming that we are now an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit. I can't even begin to tell you how overjoyed we were when we opened the letter and saw the first line that started with these three words.... We are pleased. Tears of joy, hugs and kisses ensued!!! We want to thank everyone that has helped so far and everyone that will help in the future. Now, thanks to all of you, we can do more than before to help these deserving senior dogs! Patti, myself and our wonderful fur babies, the Angels In Training, really appreciate you and your support! Angels In Training Inc. is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization

Lollipop aka Loire is full of love and happiness!

One of her favorite things is to go out for drives in the 55 Ford with the vent window open and the wind blowing on her sweet face! No matter how cold it is! ❄️
Thank goodness the heater works! 😊

Going out for drives in a classic car is so much better than being in the SEAACA shelter! That’s for sure!

Scoot and CC getting some lovin’ from their auntie Charlotte after Scoot’s visit with Dr Lisa at . ❤️❤️❤️

Scoot’s enlarged heart is about the same as it has been, but his collapsed trachea is a bit worse now. So, he’s getting some extra meds to help with that.

Paws crossed for our sweet old man Scoot from the OC shelter. Thankfully he has his best friend and sister CC from the Baldwin Park shelter always by his side, plus our whole AIT family and the wonderful vets and staff at Malibu Coast Animal Hospital to help him!!!

What do Lucky, Miss Snuggles and her baby, our rescue surprise, Fiona do on a rainy day?

The same thing they do on a sunny day.

They snuggle together in their favorite clamshell bed. ❤️❤️❤️

Greetings and Happy New Year from all of us here at AIT!

We have been remiss in keeping up with our FB page.

We have no volunteers, ho helpers, no one to run our social media while we take care of the fur babies. But we are hoping to get some help in this new year.

We are going to try to have a bigger presence over on Instagram, as we are told by many people that it’s the place to be. So, we shall see.

Thankfully a kind, caring and wonderful person has offered to help us with that.

We have so many stories to tell about our wonderful fur babies, though we do not have much time to sit down and tell them. But with some help, hopefully we can actually share their stories with all of you.

2024 and 2025 were both very rough years for us for many reasons. But we are wishing for 2026 to be much better, not just for us and the special fur kids in our care, but for all the animals and the good people helping them!

Thank you for your support,
The AIT Family

Greetings and Happy New Year from all of us here at AIT!

We have been remiss in our efforts to post here on Instagram!

Everyone tells us we need to do more on here and have a bigger presence in this place. So, even though our time is limited, we are going to try to do more on here starting this year!

Thankfully we have been offered some help by a very wonderful, kind and caring person.

So, stay tuned folks!

We have so many stories to tell about our wonderful fur babies, but not much time, nor space on here to tell them, as IG is so limited! We will have to learn to write less and keep things short.

It’s like a new start in a new year!

2024 and 2025 were rough years for us. But we are wishing for 2026 to be much better for all the animals and the good people helping them!

Thank you.
