The NBRT covers 72 miles from near I-77 outside Parkersburg in Wood County to Wolf Summit in Harrison County..This scenic trail passes through 10 tunnels and crosses 38 bridges. Easily accessible from north/south interstates 77 and 79, the trail roughly parallels US Route 50 east and west.

We hope you can attend these very important planning meetings to see how you and your community can be involved in the Parkersburg to Pittsburgh (P2P) Corridor. The P2Pis a 238-mile, multi-use trail system connecting West Virginia and Pennsylvania. The North Bend Rail Trail is the longest completed segment of the P2P and one of the longest rail-trails in the county. Please join us and see how you can participate and benefit from the completion of the P2P!

These meetings will take place in Ritchie County at North Bend State Park and in Doddridge County at the Doddridge County Park. Please see flyers for details.

Please join us for this important planning session concerning the P2P Trail. Your input is valuable to us! The meeting will be held Wednesday, April29th, from 5:30 - 7:00 at North Bend State Park in Ritchie County.

During the "Thank You, Donors" Picnic in Cairo on October 11, 2025, North Bend Rails to Trails Foundation Vice-Chair Ken Adams and Director John Pellegrin observed the picnic table at the Trail by the Bank was in worse than "sad" condition. So they tore away the old boards that day, exposing the base it was built on.

On November 5, 2025, the two men, rebuilt the picnic table on November 5, 2025.

On Halloween night, October 31, the North Bend Rail Trail State Park provided a Hayride on the North Rail Trail starting at Cairo. A great time was had by all who attended.
