This is the official page for the Cainsville Community Betterment Committee of Cainsville, MO. On March 11, 2004, the future Cainsville Community Betterment Committee met with Dean Larkin, University Outreach & Extrension Community Development Specialist, to form by-laws and a mission statement. The Cainsville Community Betterment was organized on April 12th, 2004, by former Mayor Larry F

ox, with nine members. In 2006 we filed for 501c-3 (nonprofit) , and became tax exempt on June 30th, 2006. We joined the Missouri Community Betterment Organization in 2011. Current members of the committee are Amy Chandler (President), Louise Kellner (Secretary/Treasurer), Larry Polly, Dawn King, Kendra Euritt and Laura Crofutt. We intend to use this page to keep the community updated on the progress of the projects we are currently working on and to inform them of ideas for future projects. We also wish to allow the community to use this page as a forum for offering praise/criticism, submitting ideas for projects, asking questions, and communicating directly with the committee. We are extremely grateful for the immense support we have received from the community and hope to use this page to express our appreciation.

We raised $196.00 between selling Tshirts, Caps, Post cards and donations.

We would also like to thank Steve Hamilton for always keeping our Community Garden mowed and in good shape. The little things help in a big way and mean so much!

If you are in town Saturday, stop by the museum (open 9am to 2pm) to see our new displays, take a walking tour of the square and dress up in a revolutionary costume to have your picture taken.

Be sure to stop by the Old Mill to check out the Veterans Wall. Terry and Cheyenne Francis have worked hard to memorialize our local Veterans.
They are asking if you spot any mistakes to please call Terry Francis @ (660) 365-0451 and let her know so they can fix it.

The Betterment Committee would like to thank Paul Mouzakis, along with Sandy and Wendel Willis.

Paul helped us with our community garden and a vine infestation.

Sandy and Wendel Willis have mowed the museum yard for a few years now. We want all three to know how much we appreciate their help. Thank you!!!
