Keanu Reeves Opens His 50th Free Animal Rescue Sanctuary – $100 Million Milestone, Everything Forever Free

Keanu Reeves today quietly cut the ribbon on “Arch Sanctuary #50,” the fiftieth no-cost, no-kill dog-and-cat rescue he has personally funded across the United States, bringing his total investment past the $100 million mark.
Located outside Austin, Texas, the 200-acre facility follows the same unbreakable rule as every other Arch location: medical care, food, training, and adoption are 100% free, forever. No animal receives lifetime sanctuary if they are never adopted.
In a short speech to volunteers and the first wave of rescued animals, the 61-year-old actor said simply:
“Fifty places where no dog or cat will ever be turned away, ever be charged, ever be alone. That’s all I wanted. Thank you for helping make it real.”
Since launching the first Arch Sanctuary in 2019 with his own money and John Wick earnings, Reeves has opened one roughly every month, all staffed, stocked, and endowed in perpetuity. Every sanctuary bears the same sign at the gate:
“Come as you are. Leave loved.”
Within hours of opening its doors, and dominated global trends. More than 1,200 animals found homes today alone.
Fifty sanctuaries. One hundred million dollars. Zero cost to anyone but him.

Fellow "Wexfordians"!
If you are currently on the SNAP programs and are worried about the "government shutdown", there is a food pantry today at the WEX. Here's how it works. It's drive thru. You are greeted at the gate and they will give you a piece of paper. Basically, it's how many in your family. You pull in line. There are 2 lines. (People start lining up at 12:30 to 1pm) Plan your time accordingly. At 2 pm, the line starts moving. You'll be surprised how fast they are! Once you are close to the distribution line, they will give you a slip to fill out (Basic info..name, address, "do you need additional help?) and a schedule for future Feeding America. Once you reach distribution, you will receive a box of food. (Usually fruit, veggies, juice/beverage and a few staples) They load you and you are on your way. Please don't be shy! If you miss this one, there won't be another for a month. Prepare if you can! Some people even carpool to the WEX.
I'll post a sheet of adfitional area food pantries and services. "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!"

Update! We are able to provide some cat food again. Revival Center Cadillac has a limited supply of cat & dog food. Be sure to ask when you sign in during regular food pantry hours. (Tue 4p-6p, and Wed 9a to 11a) Salvation Army on Wright St has dog food as well. We will try to get some cat food there later this coming week! 💞
