Check out this awesome upcoming event with Muskegon River Watershed Assembly and NCCISMA!

Join NCCISMA and the Muskegon River Watershed Assembly on September 18th, for a 1.5 mile guided walk around the historic Clam River. Visit the Cadillac Sound Garden, Clam River Walk Greenway, Haynes Street Park, old dam site, and more to learn about the ecological importance of this critical waterbody from it's headwaters in Cadillac!

Come join us to plant some trees at the YMCA!

This hole may not look like much...but is step one to having a great community native plant garden and education area at our own Cadillac YMCA! Phase one happens THIS FRIDAY morning at the YMCA with tree planting, laying out the garden path, putting in wood stepping stones, staring the herb planters, and more. We are in need of volunteers to help out that morning. If you can spare some time, we hope to see you.

Cadillac!

The Young Professionals Board has really wanted to help people with the flooding. We have some ideas we’ll solidify in the next few weeks, but in the interim we have decided to do a lake cleanup today (Sunday) from 2-4pm. We’ll be focusing on picking up trash (not organic material like leaves and branches) in teams during that time.

All are welcome to join us (you do not have to be considered young or a professional). We’ll meet at the Kieth McKellop Walkway (off lake street across from AMVETS and 26 depot) and formulate a plan promptly at 2pm.

For those that are unable to join us but have the financial means to donate, please check out the Cadillac Area Community Foundation that has set up a disaster relief fund to help victims impacted by the flooding event!

Please bring gloves and trash bags if you are able to. We will have some trash bags on site.
