Patricia presented them a Blue Star Family Flag.

A Blue Star Family Flag (often called a Blue Star Service Flag) is a symbol used in the United States to honor and recognize a family that has a loved one serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.

What it means:
The flag is usually white with a blue star in the center.
Each blue star represents one immediate family member who is currently serving on active duty (or has served during a conflict).

Where You’ll See Them:
In windows of homes
At veterans organizations (like the American Legion or Auxiliary — very fitting for your community work)
At ceremonies, memorials, and patriotic events.

The Heart Behind it.
The Blue Star Flag is a visible way of saying:?“Someone in this family is serving our country.”

It’s a beautiful reminder of service, sacrifice, and support for military families.
