Two fun upcoming events to get you in the Halloween Spirit and out on Cabot Trails. We are pleased to be offering these programs in collaboration with the Cabot Library and CCA. We are also grateful to Burtt's Orchard for their tireless support for this program, and Niall McCallum for his storytelling.

Such a beautiful day in the woods, the Cabot Trails Committee made full use of the morning. We cleared a down tree and cut back brush on the trails.
Hopefully, you can get on Cabot Trails and enjoy all the color and beauty to be found.

Yesterday morning, the Cabot Trails Committee and friends were at the Talbert Farm Trails putting up the last of the Bluebird nesting boxes and adding new signage to the trails. We are thankful for the help from Elizabeth Bean and her two sons, Ellis and Myles. We enjoyed their energy and laughter.
We hope to see you out enjoying the trails soon.

The Cabot Trails Committee was out installing Bluebird nesting boxes this morning along several trails. We are thankful for all the creative carpenters who built and decorated the nesting boxes. We are also grateful for the collaboration from the Cabot Public Library. Without their support, this project wouldn't be nearly as rewarding. Thank you all!

Hey there, Friends of Cabot Trails.
We have scheduled our second Trail Maintenance Day for the year. On Saturday, August 1, from 9 – 12 we will be working on three trails to install nesting boxes. In March of this year, community members helped us build Bluebird nesting boxes. With your help, we will install all of these along the Cabot Trails.
We will have tools. Gloves, water and bug repellent would be wise to bring.
Please let us know if you can help out on this project. With more hands, the project goes quicker and is more fun. Please respond to this page if you are able to help.
As we get closer, we’ll get back to you with carpooling and final details.
Thank you for your support of Cabot Trails.

Last night, a group of adventurous people gathered behind the Willey Building for a fun and creative evening. Folks of all ages learned how to make striking relieve images of plant material found along the Old Town Center Trail. The Cabot Trails Committee is grateful for the partnership with the Cabot Library and Hard-Pressed Community Print Shop to make this engaging program possible. We are also grateful for all the folks who ventured out to explore the trail and create art.

A fun program of botanical printmaking tomorrow evening along the Old Town Center Trail. Cabot Trails hopes you can join us.

Come join us July 16 for botanical printmaking on the Old Town Center Trail. Cabot Trails and the Cabot Library are sponsoring a program lead by Hard-Pressed Community Printshop for folks to make creative and unique impressions of vegetation found along the trail.

Yesterday morning, Cabot Trails Committee worked on the Town Forest trails cleaning blow down trees, upgrading signage and clearing brush. With a lot of hands we were able to manage quite a bit.
If you haven't been to the Town Forest yet, it is a lovely resource here in Cabot - a tall canopy, lovely wide trails, and gregarious birds to greet you.
And, Lynn was happy to find a snack for her goats from the tree trimmings.

Hey there, Friends of Cabot Trails.
We have scheduled our first Trail Maintenance Day for the year. On Saturday, June 27th from 9 – 12 we will be working in the Town Forest. There are numerous blowdowns that need chainsaw work, signage replacement, mowing and general trail maintenance. We could use your help in getting this trail system ready for the Summer.
We will have tools. Gloves, water and bug repellent would be wise to bring. Given the limited parking at the trailhead, we’ll probably coordinate and carpool to the trailhead.
Please let us know if you can help out on this project. With more hands, the project goes quicker and is more fun.
As we get closer, we’ll get back to you with carpooling and final details.
Thank you for your support of Cabot Trails.
