Puppy mill adoption support group Founded 2009
This is a group for people who is fostering or adopted a puppymill rescue dog Some are worse off then others. And we need to have patience.

Puppymill Rescue meetup is for those who have adopted or are fostering Puppymill survivors. We all know that this is much different then your regular dog who you have adopted. The dog needs to go at his/her own pace. Anyone who posts about the dogs they are selling will be deleted and banned. Here are some articles that you should read that have some helpful information. http://trainyourbestfriend

If your dog is taking food from you easily or will eat if you toss it to floor, here are some simple training exercises. Don’t do anything that will scare the dog and good to start with really short mellow training sessions for mill dogs. I recommend using the word “Yip” softly instead of using clicker as that sound may be scary for many dog from puppy mills or hoarding situations or other isolated or traumatic backgrounds. http://www.youtube.com/user/jeninow1?feature=mhum /a/f/0/3Bzlxm0P98U

Stormy is up for adoption!
Looking for a Loving Home for Stormy! 🌟

I’m currently fostering a sweet little girl named Stormy, a brave Chihuahua mix who is around 2 to 4 years old and weighs about 9 pounds. She originally went by the name “Pink Cankles,” but I felt that didn’t reflect her spirit. After witnessing her resilience in overcoming a challenging past, I decided to name her Stormy. Just like Stormy Daniels, she’s a survivor who has endured a lot and emerged strong.

Stormy came from a difficult environment with over 40 dogs, which makes her quite shy and cautious. She’s incredibly sweet but needs a calm and quiet home—specifically:
• No children: A peaceful environment is essential for her comfort.

• Cats: Ideally, she should go to a home with cats that tolerate dogs; she’ll be just fine with small dogs as well.

• Home Environment: It would be best for her to be in a home where someone is around most of the time, whether you’re retired or working from home.

Please note: Stormy will be a special-needs girl. With time and patience, she will blossom into a loving companion, and it will be well worth the effort.

Here are a few more details about her:
• Temperament: Extremely shy but very affectionate once she feels safe.

• Compatibility: Gets along well with other dogs and ignores our cats—one of whom is eager to play, but she’s not quite ready for that yet.

• Health: Stormy has been spayed and is up-to-date on all her vaccinations.

If you’re interested in adopting or would like more information, please DM me! You can also visit kninerescue.com for more details and to apply for her. Be sure to search for her under her original name, “Pink Cankles.”

Let’s help Stormy find her forever home! 🐾💖

Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan signed a bill into law Tuesday banning pet stores from selling puppies and kitten. The intention of the new law is to crack down on puppy mills, though some pet shop owners say it goes too far.

Your Daily Dose of Stormy.
She’s doing good y’all. I was able to take her to my dad’s apartment yesterday and she did pretty well. She was very tired when she came home. But baby steps, baby steps, baby steps.

Your daily dose of Stormy. She’s doing really well. So much so that we were able to take her out for a walk. The trainer came on Saturday and gave me some great tips. Tomorrow she heads out to the vet to get put on some anti-anxiety medication.

After Rudy passed, I decided to write some things about him. And then doing so I found this podcast that deals with Grief with your pets. So I sent them an email and here he is on the video. It’s about halfway through before it. it pops on.
