Responding to more than just fires and medical emergencies.

Yesterday, SW710, SW710B, SW730, SW730B, and A710 responded to a call on the Billy Goat Trail, where challenging terrain and limited access often require specialized resources.

Cabin John Park Volunteer Fire Department is proud to be one of the few departments in Montgomery County that houses a Special Operations Swift Water Rescue Team. Our members train year-round to respond to water-related emergencies and difficult-to-access rescues.

Whether on the road, on the trail, or in the water, our crews are ready to answer the call.

Last week, a handful of CJPVFD members joined more than 100 volunteers from Montgomery County LFRDs in graduating from EMT, Firefighter I, and Firefighter II.

Congratulations to our members on your hard work, determination, and commitment to excellence. Your dedication to learning and serving others reflects the very best of our department.

You are the future of CJPVFD and the next generation of first responders. We are incredibly proud of all that you have accomplished and look forward to watching you continue to grow, lead, and achieve great things.

Yesterday, our crews on A710 and E710 responded to a Personal Injury Collision (PIC), quickly providing care and support to those involved.

Moments like these are a reminder of the importance of teamwork, training, and being ready to respond when our community needs us most. 🚑🚒

Yesterday, at our June Membership Meeting, we had the honor of recognizing Chief Corinne Piccardi and Life Members Michael Harting, Jimmy Fones, and Lee Hunter for their many years of dedicated service, both in the field and in leadership roles.

Members like these may not always be in the spotlight, but they are among the most important to our organization. Their commitment, sacrifice, and leadership have helped shape the Cabin John Park Volunteer Fire Department and paved the way for the members who serve today.

Their legacy is woven into the foundation of CJPVFD, and we are deeply grateful for all they have contributed over the years.

Thank you, Chief Piccardi, Michael, Jimmy, and Lee, for your unwavering dedication and service. CJPVFD is proud to honor you and grateful for everything you have done for our department and community.

During National CPR & AED Awareness Week, we're highlighting a powerful reminder that early CPR saves lives.

Lauren Malinauskas used the CPR skills she learned at school to provide care for her father after he suffered cardiac arrest at home. Her quick actions, alongside the efforts of responding MCFRS personnel, helped give Adam the best possible chance for survival.

Thank you to Lauren, the responding crews, and all those who help strengthen our community through CPR education and emergency preparedness.
