We are expanding and we need you! We are actively seeking candidates for our Volunteer Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator.

Pay starts at $25/hour. Interviews will take place next week, beginning October 19.

Looking for a meaningful way to give back? Join us in supporting single moms and their children!

Here are a few ways you can volunteer with Hope Unexpected:

✨ Help with childcare so moms can spend time connecting and receiving support.
✨ Prepare and/or serve a meal for our Monday Meets gatherings.
✨ Help with setup, cleanup, and welcoming families.
✨ Lend a hand at events and with special projects.

Whether you serve on your own or bring a group from your church, workplace, or family, we’d love to connect with you!

Have gently used children’s or women’s clothing, toys, or household items ready for a new home? Turn your clean-out into a blessing for the moms of Hope Unexpected! 💗

On Monday, October 19, our moms will have the opportunity to “shop” donated items completely FREE during Monday Meets — and we need volunteers to help make it happen!

📍 Give Night will take place at all three Hope Unexpected locations:
Byron Center • Grand Rapids West • Grand Rapids East

Want to host a table?
Sign up by October 12 and bring your gently used items with you on Give Night. Tables are provided, but space is limited!

We are also looking for more childcare volunteers at our BRAND NEW Grand Rapids East location!

We’re looking for volunteers who enjoy holding babies and caring for younger children in our program. Volunteer opportunities are available during either of these timeframes:

• 4:45–5:45 PM
• 6:00–7:30 PM

What a beautiful night at Celebration of Hope!

We are so incredibly thankful for everyone who came out to celebrate with us, support our mission, and make this evening so special. It was such a gift to gather together and reflect on the lives being impacted through Hope Unexpected and the amazing community that makes it all possible.

One of the most exciting moments of the evening was getting to share how Hope Unexpected continues to grow and expand, including the announcement of our FOURTH location! We are so grateful for the opportunity to reach even more moms and families, and we can’t wait to see what God has in store for this next chapter.

A huge thank you to all of our incredible sponsors who helped make Celebration of Hope possible. Your generosity and partnership allow us to continue growing, serving, and walking alongside single moms in our communities.

And to our supporters, volunteers, donors, partners, and everyone who continues to believe in what we do, thank you. We truly could not do this without you!

We left the night feeling encouraged, grateful, and so excited for what’s ahead.
