📣 Nickels families, we need your help!

We’ve officially kicked off our annual Nickels FIT fundraiser, and so far we’ve raised $1,800 toward our $15,000 goal! 🧡🖤

Here’s the number we really want families to know: just $20 per student would get us across the fundraising finish line and help fund an incredible year for our Nickels students and staff.

Your donations help FIT support the things that make Nickels such a special place, including student events, celebrations, staff appreciation, conference meals, and plenty of fun surprises throughout the year.

🧡🖤 Welcome to a New Year with Nickels FIT!

New school year, new events, and lots of ways to support our Nickels community!

If you’re new to Nickels, FIT (Family Involvement Team) is a parent-led organization dedicated to supporting our students, teachers, staff, and school community.

Throughout the year, your FIT donations help fund:

🍎 Teacher & Staff Appreciation
🥗 Staff meals during Parent-Teacher Conferences
🍂 5th Grade Harvest Party
🎉 6th Grade Celebration
📚 Reading Month programming & celebration
🏫 Additional teacher and staff needs not covered by their regular budgets

You may have also seen information about two school-sponsored fundraisers in your child’s Welcome Packet. Those help offset costs for things like field trips and student activities. Our FIT Kickoff Fundraiser is separate and supports the programs and needs listed above.

And we know…fall comes with A LOT of asks. We’re parents, too. 😅

That’s why we keep this simple.

This week at Nickels, we’re celebrating the incredible teachers and staff who show up every single day for our kids with this year’s theme:
“Flying High Because of You”

From coffee bars to snack carts, lunches, treats, and special surprises, we’ve got a full week planned to remind our staff just how appreciated they are.

Because the truth is simple, our school runs on the care, energy, and dedication they bring every day.
