Long after the headlines fade, families are left to pick up the pieces.

Across Nepal and Tibet, communities are facing the loss of loved ones, damaged homes, disrupted livelihoods, and an uncertain future after devastating floods and debris flows. The United Nations estimates that at least 93,000 people have been affected and need urgent humanitarian assistance.

Recovery does not happen overnight. It takes time, resources, and people willing to come alongside their neighbours in moments of great need.

As a member of the Integral Alliance, World Renew is working with trusted partners to assess needs and determine how best to support communities affected by the Nepal floods.

Watch Carol's message to learn how you can stand with those affected. Please continue to pray for families and communities across Nepal and Tibet. If you are able, consider making a gift to support relief and recovery efforts.

Churches, this is a great resource to keep in mind for September. 💧🌿

The Climate Witness Project has created a free 5-week Season of Creation curriculum to help children explore God’s creation, the gift of water, and what it means to care for our world as an expression of faith.

If you’re a Sunday school teacher, children’s ministry leader, educator, or know someone who is, take a look and pass it along!

Every year from September 1 through October 4, Christians and churches around the world unite for the Season of Creation—a dedicated time to rejoice in the Creator, give thanks for the earth, and renew our shared call to care for God’s world. To help educators, Sunday school teachers, children.....

Have you considered how you’d like your faith and values to continue making a difference?

A will is an important way to care for your loved ones and ensure your wishes are known. It can also reflect the faith, values, and causes that have been meaningful throughout your life.

By including a charitable gift to World Renew in your will, you can leave a legacy of generosity that helps people overcome poverty, disaster, and injustice for years to come.

As Make-A-Will Month comes to a close, we invite you to watch this short video and learn more about planned giving: https://worldrenew.org/ways-to-give/planned-giving/

What exactly is cashew grafting? 🌱

It is a technique where part of one healthy cashew plant is joined to another so they grow together. It can help farmers reproduce productive cashew plants and work towards better harvests.

In June, 80 Indigenous farmers from five villages in Cambodia took part in this hands-on training with our partner, Non-Timber Forest Products (NTFP PAGE). Of those participants, 58 were women.

That number matters. Each person who learns a practical skill has the opportunity to carry that knowledge back to their farm, family, and community.

This training is one part of NTFP’s broader work with Indigenous communities to strengthen livelihoods and food security.

One skill learned. Many possibilities for what comes next. 🌱

Some of the people who help make disaster response possible. 💚

Every Wednesday, volunteers come to the World Renew - Disaster Response Services warehouse to serve, lend a hand, and help keep things moving behind the scenes.

Each summer, we get to say a small thank you with a volunteer picnic. Good food, good conversation, and a chance to celebrate the people who faithfully show up week after week.

We are so grateful for the time, care, and gifts this crew shares in service to others. 💜

Preventing human trafficking takes a whole community.

In Cambodia, our partner Occupation of Rural Economic Development and Agriculture (OREDA) recently brought together students, teachers, school leaders, churches, government representatives, and local authorities to strengthen their shared work to protect young people.

Through the Youth Education and Empowerment to Counter People Trafficking project, OREDA is working in four high schools to help young people understand the risks of trafficking and become part of the solution in their own schools and communities.

We are grateful for OREDA and for every person who is coming together to help young people stay informed, supported, and safe.

Please join us in praying for the students, teachers, families, and community leaders involved in this important work.

“God blessed me with ten children.” ❤️

Michael is a husband and father who loves his family deeply. For him, his children are a blessing from God.

And like parents everywhere, he works hard to care for them and make sure there is enough food for his family.

We celebrate parents like Michael who use their skills, ideas, and hard work to build a better future for their families.

And we are grateful for supporters who come alongside families and communities as they build on the gifts God has already given them.

Together, we are all co-workers in God’s field.

Progress is being made in Burkina Faso, but many families still need support.

Years of insecurity have forced more than two million people from their homes. Today, one of our partners in Burkina Faso shares how the situation is changing and why helping families build strong, lasting livelihoods is so important.

Burkina Faso is one of the countries World Renew is highlighting through the Neglected Crises campaign with Integral Alliance.

We are grateful to work alongside local partners, including the Evangelical Churches Development Office / Office de Développement des Eglises Evangéliques (ODE) and ONG CREDO - Aimer. Agir Ensemble , who know their communities and continue walking alongside families through difficult circumstances.

This World Humanitarian Day, we give thanks for humanitarian workers and local organizations around the world who faithfully serve their neighbours and help communities build hope for the future.

We're still here.
