In Cambodia, learning happens best when people gather together.

In Siem Reap province, 52 community members, local leaders, government representatives, and partner staff came together for a community learning visit with World Renew’s local partner, Banteay Srei.

They visited farmer groups, savings groups, and small livelihood projects. Along the way, community members shared what they are learning, what is working, and what challenges remain.

As Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 teaches us: "Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor."

These moments matter. When people listen to one another, share ideas, and work side by side, communities grow stronger.

We are grateful for our partners and for the people in Cambodia who are putting love into action in practical, faithful ways.

Ebola is creating urgent health risks for families and communities.

As parts of the Democratic Republic of Congo face the immediate impact of the outbreak, nearby communities in Uganda are also facing a growing risk. World Renew is responding by working with trusted local partners at the border in Uganda.

Through community awareness, local-language messages, training for church and youth leaders, and handwashing facilities in schools and church compounds, our response helps people receive trusted support and take steps to protect one another.

As communities face the impact of Ebola, many families are experiencing fear, grief, and uncertainty. Today, we pause to lift them up in prayer, especially those who were already facing hardship, displacement, hunger, or conflict.

🙏 Pray for healing and comfort for those who are sick and for families who are grieving.
🙏 Pray for protection over health-care workers, local leaders, and responders caring for others.
🙏 Pray for safety for World Renew partners, churches, communities, and staff serving in affected areas. ⁠
🙏 Pray for strength and courage for families facing this crisis on top of many other challenges.
🙏 Pray for wisdom for health officials and organisations working to stop the spread and care for vulnerable communities.

Lord, be close to all who are hurting. Bring protection, healing, and hope in the middle of uncertainty.

The smile on Sugzo’s face says so much.

For years, Judith’s family carried deep pain and hardship. Through Free A Family, they began to find healing and hope. With support and counseling, their family started to experience new care, dignity, and acceptance. Their community also began to embrace Sugzo, who has a disability, as an image bearer of God. Over time, as the family became more stable, they were able to purchase a wheelchair that helps him move more easily.
