Take a Trip Down Memory Lane with Good Neighbors Theatre
Good Neighbors Theatre is inviting the community to step back in time for a special free movie night featuring the theatre's 2014 production of The Sound of Music, directed by Melva Nunnery.
This isn't just a movie—it's a chance to see familiar faces, relive special moments, and celebrate the people who helped build GNT into what it is today. Whether you were in the audience, backstage, or on stage yourself, this night is all about reconnecting with those memories—and maybe spotting a few younger versions of your friends and family.
The 2014 cast featured a wide range of local talent, including:
Amanda Hatfield as Maria
Joriah Kavanagh as Captain von Trapp
Melva Nunnery as Mother Abbess
Jamie Garrett as Elsa Schraeder
Paul Petrick as Max Detweiler
The von Trapp children were played by Caroline Patterson, Elizabeth Norris, Daniel Thomas, Dakota Brown, Cole Reeder, Maria Pryor, Clair Beaty, Emma Mentzer, and Piper Cantrell.
Audience members may also recognize familiar faces like Ryan Thomas, Angela Thomas, Darlene Neeley, Ron Bledsoe, Danny Thomas, Carolyn Smith, Patti Esper, Sharon Bertram, Teresa Parmley, and many more from across the community
From longtime performers to first-time faces—including early appearances from actors many of you know today—this production represents a special chapter in the theatre's history.
Join Good Neighbors Theatre on Saturday, May 16 at 7 PM (doors open at 6 PM) to watch this beloved production on the big screen. Admission is free, and concessions will be available.
