We were thrilled to bring back our Widow’s Luncheon (September 6th)with a delightful tea party honoring the women behind the Masons in our lodge who are no longer with us. Heartfelt thanks go out to Worshipful Lloyd Bradbury and his wife, Cathy, for orchestrating every detail, and to RW Butch Gannett and Brother Paul Froman for their invaluable assistance. A special shout-out to my wife, Jen, whose support made the day even more memorable. We look forward to making this celebration a permanent fixture in our lodge calendar!

Hard to believe starting back up next week coming out of darkness with only 3 more months sitting in the East.

We got to present last years Master, now PM Jason Sicina his PM apron and diploma. Was presented with the Buxton Traveling Jewel Apron and PM Apron donated by PM James Bower’s widow. Got to present 8 service awards, 2 - 10 year, 1 - 20 year, 2- 30 year and 2 of 50 years (Dwight Shepard & John Wilder) and one for 60 years, RW Barry Plummer).

We raised one MM in Xavier Gannett, son to Wor. Michael Gannett and grandson to RW Butch Gannett, both of whom were part of each of his degrees and with Butch sitting in the East when he was raised. Was also special to have 50 year service brother Dwight Shepard be present that night, 50 years to the day he was raised to a MM in which Xavier’s grandfather RW Arthur H Gannett Sr was a part of.

We initiated Matthew Byrd as an EA just before going dark and look forward to continuing his journey!!

We donated to the Anderson family burned out of their home early in the year and to the Creedon family also fire related fairly recently.

We did Bikes for Books for Hollis & Buxton again this year, a very rewarding and fun event. We participated in and won the John A Smith Ritual Challenge for the 2nd year in a row. Lastly and very near to our hearts, RW Butch Gannett won the Arthur H Gannett Sr Mason of the Year for the 18th District. We’ll honor him and Ritualist of the Year Jeff Kelley at a Table Lodge we’ll be hosting on October 11th.

It’s been an amazing experience and I’m looking forward to finishing it out strong.
