Croatoan Archaeological Society Founded by Native Hatteras Islander, Scott Dawson, whose geneaological roots to Croatoan go deeper than any shovel could ever reach, and his wife Maggie.

The Croatoan Archaeological Society is a 501c3 federally tax exempt nonprofit organization. Our Board of Directors is as follows:

MEMBERSHIP:
We accept members who are interested in the history and archaeology of Hatteras Island, and who support the mission statement of the society. In order to join the Croatoan Archaeological Society, one must complete an application and pay the annual membership fee. Please see our notes page MEMBERSHIP for more information. The Last Swell OBX Surf, Film, Art, & Music Festival will be held at Village Beach Club in Nags Head on Sunday, October 18 from 12pm to 8pm.

This event is free and open to everyone.
