Union pride is part of our heritage—and our future.

History reminds us that labor rights are q***r rights. From San Francisco, where Harvey Milk joined Teamsters Union in the Coors boycott, to Wales in 1984, when Le****ns and G**s Support the Miners stood shoulder to shoulder with striking coal miners, our communities have long fought together for dignity and fairness.

Butte knows this truth well: the fight for safety, fairness, and respect on the job is inseparable from the fight for equality. This Labor Day, we remember that solidarity—union strong, q***r strong, Butte strong!

We did it Butte! Our council of commissioners voted 11-1 last night in favor of flying the pride flag for the remainder of June. We are so incredibly proud of our community for being brave and standing up in support of love and acceptance, especially during a time in history where there is so much hate. We love you, Butte 💕🏳️‍🌈

And thank you a million times to our big sis, , for leading this effort, and to all our friends across the community who showed up 🫶

Tell EVERYONE - We need at LEAST 50 people to speak at the upcoming city council meeting to show Butte-Silver Bow that we want the LGBT+ pride flag to be adopted as an official city flag so it can be flown on government buildings.

The meeting is at the city building on 155 W Granite St on Wednesday June 18th at 7PM. We will have people in the lobby to help direct you to the room and with talking points.

Each person is given three minutes to speak. At minimum, we need each person to say this:

My name is I live at [address] OR I live in commissioner district [number- map on post]. I am in support of Butte-Silver Bow continuing the tradition of displaying the Pride flag at the courthouse during the month of June.

You can add your own personal comments after if you wish. Wear some rainbow gear to show your pride!
