Looking for something fun (and FREE!) to do with the kids? Join us Saturday, August 1 from 12–2 PM at the Butte-Silver Bow County Fair for an afternoon packed with hands-on activities, games, learning, and community fun!

📖 The 2026 Butte-Silver Bow County Fair LIVESTOCK SALE Catalog is here!

Take a look through this year’s catalog to meet the outstanding 4-H exhibitors and the animals they have worked so hard to raise throughout the year. We hope you’ll JOIN US in supporting these hardworking youth at the annual Livestock Auction!

🍽️ Buyers Dinner: 5:00 PM
👋Auction Begins: 6:30 PM, starting with the Cake Auction, followed by the Livestock Auction in the order listed in the catalog.

👉Whether you’re a longtime buyer or considering supporting the sale for the first time, your investment goes far beyond the purchase of an animal. It recognizes months of dedication, responsibility, and hard work while helping build leadership, responsibility, and life skills in the youth of our community!

Animal Processing:
• 🐄 Steers: Western Meat Block
• 🐖 Hogs: Western Meat Block
• 🐑 Lambs: Tizer Meats (transportation back to Butte from Helena is available for a fee)
• 🦃 Turkeys: Processing arranged by the seller.

🌟Interested in purchasing through resale? Resale is a great option if you’d like to support a 4-H exhibitor without taking home the meat. Here’s how it works: you bid on the animal during the auction, then the animal is put on the resale list at the current market resale price. You only pay the difference between your winning bid and the resale value, while the exhibitor receives the full amount of your bid. CHECK OUT THE COMMENTS OF THIS POST FOR MORE DETAILS!

Current resale prices (as of July 20) are:
🐄 Steers: $2.39/lb
🐖 Hogs: $0.98/lb
🐑 Lambs: $2.44/lb
***Please note: Resale prices will be updated on Monday, July 27, to reflect the current market value. Those updated prices will be used as the official resale prices during the auction!

🎨🧁📸🌻 Show off your talents at the 2026 Silver Bow County Fair OPEN CLASS!

Whether you paint, bake, sew, garden, write, take photos, or love to create, there’s a place for you! Open Class is open to all ages and skill levels, and we’d love to see what you’ve been working on.

📍 Entry Drop-Off:
🗓️ Wednesday, July 29
🕛 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
📍 Butte Civic Center

A simple entry form will be completed when you arrive, and volunteers will be there to help!

🎨 New this year: Our Coloring Contest is open to children ages 0–12, and crayons will be provided for anyone who would like to complete their coloring page at the fair.

We can’t wait to see the creativity our community has to offer! 🤩

There’s something for everyone at this year’s fair! Come enjoy livestock shows, Kids Zone activities, a Community Talent Show, live music, line dancing, a watermelon eating contest, co****le, motocross with Levi Renz 406FMX, 4-H exhibits, open class exhibits, and so much more!

Admission is FREE! Bring the whole family for a fun-filled weekend celebrating our community, local agriculture, talented exhibitors, and hometown entertainment.

We’d also love your help supporting the Butte Emergency Food Bank and local students by bringing a nonperishable food item or school supplies if you’re able.
