In honor of school being out for the summer, we want to highlight the Deerlodg School annual fishing trip. One of our own board members, Britten Jay, helps put this trip together to teach kids about fishing and conservation. Wow, it looks like a great time with plenty of fish. I wish my school did this growing up. Have a great summer!

Join us for some beers and pizza while the finest biologists in Montana go over the state of the fisheries. The format is timed lightning talks from each biologist. They will be covering the Upper Clark Fork, Georgetown Lake, Rock Creek, Big Hole, Jefferson, Ruby, Beaverhead, and the Clark Fork Superfund area.

After the fun, we have some buisness to attend to. We are conducting BOD elections and going over the annual treasurers report.

Huge thanks to all the volunteers who participated in the willow harvest! What a great group of people! The fish will be happy, and I think the golf course was glad we cleared out hole 17 for the left-hand approach.

We had 25 volunteers participate and harvested close to 4,000 willows from the Fairmont golf course.

Thanks to all the volunteers who came out and rolled up their sleeves for the willow harvest. We couldn't have done it without you. 🌿

We collected thousands of willows this past weekend. These willows will be planted on the banks of Fifer Gulch. They will strengthen the new banks and provide resiliency. It's pretty amazing what some people and loppers can get done.

We still have a long way to go. Keep your eyes open for the next willow harvest in April.

Tickets are free! Come watch some films on local restoration and talk to the professionals that make it happen.

While some of us were celebrating ☘️ St. Patty's Day ☘️, Glacier Excavating, Inc. broke ground in Fifer Gulch, one of our projects in the Clark Fork drainage.

The project will result in over 1,000 feet of restored stream channel, 5 acres of wetlands, and a youth fishing opportunity located on the edge of urban Anaconda.

Most importantly, this project will create and improve habitat for wild trout.

Thanks to our funding partners for their support in making this happen.
