The Mile High team was asked to help a second time in two weeks to get cows out of the way of the fires in the Pioneer Mts. Saturday we helped push about 500 pairs 22 miles to safety. 3:00 AM wake up so we could be in the saddle at first light. We finished up about 8:00 PM. Tired horses, riders and dogs! The cattle are safe.

Mile High at work. Corbin, Josie and Wade spent 9 hours in the saddle yesterday moving 140 cows out of the way of a new fire in the West Pioneers. Lots of bogs, thick willows and blow down made it a challenge.

We used about 20 horses and mules to pack 300 gallons of water to 4 locations along the Maud S trail on the East side of Butte. They use the water to spray weeds to keep the trail system looking good. Great job team!!
