Fire Update

Yesterday evening we starting receiving calls from alert citizens of the Butler community, we immediately dispatched several trucks. After learning the size of the incident we requested the Custer County Task Force and shortly there after the Roger Mills TF.
We had a truck with mechanical failure that caused 41 spot fires over a 9 mile stretch.
Be vigilant and if smoke is spotted we ask you make the call. We all know the conditions we are in.
Pray for rain and cooler temperatures soon!

The Butler Volunteer Fire Department wants to thank each and everyone who showed up at the show. It was BIG! The out pouring of support even in difficult times means so much to our department. Thanks for supporting Matt, keep him in your thoughts as he continues his healing.
It was the vision of 13 colonies that come together 250 years ago and signed that Declaration of Independence on 7-4-1776 that allowed us to do what we did tonight.

Matt Baker - Butler 407 was severely injured in a oilfield accident Monday Morning. Matt is still in the hospital with more procedures to come.

Burn Ban in Effect

To the citizens of the Butler Volunteer Fire Department district, please know that things have turned volatile. As ranchers, many of us understand the benefits of control burns, but it's time for this.
In the last ten days or so, we've had many controls escape their boundaries.
At this time, the most important thing we can do as a community is pray for rain!

Attention Foss Estate and Sky Acres area home owners. The Butler Volunteer Fire Department and other area departments have worked diligently to keep the fire contained today that is North of you and burned yesterday.

WIND SHIFT

During the night the wind will come from the North and gust up to 50 mph possible.
We need you to be vigilant and ready to take action if any is warranted.

Turn your ringer up on your phones and make sure you can receive alerts.

If you see any visible flames after the wind shift report it immediately.

This statement is made not to alarm anyone but just to make you aware and ready.
