will hold a Children’s Musical Theater Workshop this summer with a production of “ Beauty and the Beast” starting with auditions on Monday, July 5, 2021, at 6:30 p.m. in the Family Life Center located directly behind First United Methodist Church in Butler, Alabama. Rehearsals will be held from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 each evening , starting July 6, and continue every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday th
e entire month of July, with some possible rehearsals on Friday, if this is deemed necessary. Performances are scheduled for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, of August 5, 6, and 7th, respectively, at 7:30 p.m. each evening. There is no charge for participating in the workshop, however, parents will be responsible for each child’s costume(s). Some children may wish to be cast in two roles, as there are several scenes in which townspeople and crowds are included. That will be determined by the turnout and each child’s willingness to accept more than one role. Parents will be asked to sign a waiver of liability in order for their child to participate. More details will be forthcoming.
