The bereavement team of Three Rivers Hospice requested a group dream to Bella Terra Stables. Bella Terra is an organization dedicated to strengthening connections between humans, horses and the natural environment. The bereavement group found the experience uplifting and enjoyed connecting with others experiencing the loss of a loved one.
One of our dreamers shared that it was her mother's birthday and that the trip provided them with a positive, peaceful day through the guided activities with the beautiful horses. He mother loved animals and the stable experience was just the kind of day her mother would have enjoyed.

Our Dreamer Katie owned a small farm that she maintained with her husband and daughters. She has so many fond memories of feeding and interacting with the animals. Her trip to Keystone Safari brought back so many great memories to Katie and her daughters while making new happy moments to look back on. She said feeding the giraffes and baby goats was a highlight of her day, they had goats on their farm.

QLS-Mercer was turned into a concert grounds as they welcomed "Johnny Cash" to their home. The residents smiled, clapped and sang along to their favorite songs performed by Vaughn Hudspath with Sound Advice Entertainment.
One resident commented that the performer did not shake her hand, so the staff asked him to come meet her. She said later, that it was the best thing that he didn't shake her hand, because he kissed her on the cheek when he came back to meet her personally! We are so pleased that one dream could make so many great memories.

Happy National Skilled Nursing Care Week! Our friends at Quality Life Services -Markleysburg recently enjoyed a group dream to Living Treasures Animal Park of the Laurel Highlands. Our Dreamer Pam's experience was like a scene out of a Hallmark movie. Pam was missing her daughter and was wishing she could meet her new grandson. Her DSD journey was a full day that included her favorite cafe, a surprise party that included extended family and the big moment of seeing her daughter along with presenting a handmade Amish rocker to her adorable grandson. We hope your Mother's Day weekend is filled with family and memories that you will cherish.

Twinning! Our dreamers June and Joan are twins. Before moving into QLS-Markleysburg they loved to shop, hit up the thrift stores and have lunch together. As children, their mother always dressed them alike but as they grew older they chose their own style. Their dream was a throwback to their days of poppin' tags and discussing it over lunch, and of course, bringing home some new summer clothing.
