A fence might seem like a small thing. But for Andrea, it’s a big step toward building a licensed child care business in Butler, Missouri.

With years of child care experience and a home thoughtfully prepared for young learners, Andrea saw an opportunity to meet a real need in her rural community.

Through a New Growth Women’s Business Center microloan and connections to the Family Child Care Champions program, she’s getting support to turn that opportunity into a growing business.

Because expanding rural child care means investing in the entrepreneurs and professionals who provide it.

We were privileged to host Butler Area Chamber of Commerce's Coffee and Commerce on Friday morning, complete with a delicious breakfast prepared by our nutrition services team.

We also had the opportunity to offer a quick tour of the Long-Nissen Infusion Center. It’s a beautiful space we’re proud to share, but because it’s tucked away within the hospital, many in our community haven’t had the chance to see it.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the morning a success!

Mark your calendars, gather your crew, and get ready to celebrate autumn in small-town style! The Butler Area Chamber of Commerce is bringing you a full day of tradition, food, music, shopping, and family fun on the Historic Butler Square.

Presented by Hometown Health Hub

• Theme: Bring Back the '90s! Wear your best neon & throwback gear for a chance to win a prize!

• In Person Registration: Opens at 7:30AM | Race Starts: 8:00AM

• 70+ Vendors: Artisan crafts, primitives, antiques, and direct sales

• Food Trucks & Live Stage: Seasonal eats, warm treats, and live entertainment

• Touch-a-Truck (Located on Ohio St.): Let the kids explore various service, farm, and emergency vehicles up close!

• Kids Zone Inflatables: Bounce House and Obstacle Course from L&L Bounce House!

🎟️ Kids Zone Wristbands:$5 each (sold on-site by BHS National Honor Society students).

❤️ 100% of proceeds from Kids Zone wristband sales will be donated directly to three local families with children facing ongoing medical needs.
