Nothing says comfort like a warm oatmeal cookie and a cold glass of milk. On National Oatmeal Cookie Day, it’s the perfect time to celebrate the role dairy plays in your favorite treats. From creamy butter baked into every bite to milk served on the side, dairy brings rich flavor and wholesome nutrition to the table. Plus, milk goes through strict quality controls to ensure freshness, purity, and great taste—it typically takes just 48 hours to go from the farm to your store. In Pennsylvania, all milk is antibiotic-free and tested for safety many times before it reaches you.
So grab yourself a cookie treat paired with a cold glass of milk and count it as one of your 3 daily dairy servings.

Supporting your local dairy farmers does more than fill your fridge, it strengthens your entire community. Every dollar spent locally by a dairy farmer creates a multiplier effect of more than 2.5 times the original dollar spent, helping support jobs, businesses, and families across Pennsylvania. When you choose milk with the PA milk plant code 42, you’re choosing to invest right back into your local economy. It’s a simple choice that makes a big impact. Look for local dairy, enjoy the goodness of milk, and know you’re making a difference with every purchase. Keep it local and share the impact.

Wow! It's hard to believe that it's been 3 years since Dairy Miss Jenna shared with us the process of what happens to milk after it leaves the cow and how it gets into the refrigerated milk tank to preserve freshness and safety.

Did you know that milk is highly regulated and the first test is done by the milk hauler before it is even pumped from the tank at the farm. Once it gets to the processing plant it under goes even more strict quality controls to ensure freshness, purity and great taste.

So next time you are enjoying a refreshing dairy product, rest assure that the milk it was made from is wholesome, safe and nutritious.

This year we are proud that announce that Jenna will be competing for Butler County Dairy Princess, at our pageant on May 22nd.
So raise a glass of milk in honor of the next generation of dairy promoters!

🐄Did you know 96 years ago yesterday the first dairy cow flew on an air plane? On February 18, 1930 Elm Farm Ollie was the first cow to ever take flight. Ollie's nickname was “Nellie Jay” but after her flight became known as the “Sky Queen”. She flew 72 miles from Bismarck, Missouri to St. Louis. She is also know for being the first cow to be milked on a plane. Elsworth W. Bunce, from Wisconsin, had the honor of milking "Nellie - Jay" and earned the distinction as the first man to milk a cow mid-flight. The milk was then put into paper cartons and parachuted down to the spectators below. Although this was primarily done for publicity, it allowed scientists to study the affect of high altitude on a cow being milked.

🙏You should be thankful that you do not have to wait for your milk to be dropped from an ✈️, when we have family farms right here in Butler County that supply quality milk that goes through 17 quality assurance checks before it leaves the processing plant!

🥛Raise a glass of milk that contains 13 essental vitamis and nutrients in remembrance of Nellie Jay!

🎉 Raise your glass, of milk that is, in celebration of the House of Representatives passing The Whole Milk For Healthy Kids Act!

📝 This Act will now allow schools to serve whole milk alongside reduced- and low-fat options.

🥛 By providing whole milk, which has a fuller, richer flavor than lower-fat versions, students may be more enticed to enjoy milk with their meals! This, in turn, can help improve students' overall nutrition and dietary habits!

💪 All fluid milk, regardless of fat content, contains 13 essential vitamins and nutrients that help maintain a healthy mind and body! With most students having one to two daily meals away from home, they need to get at least 1 of their recommended 3 daily servings of dairy while at school!

🏆This is a win-win for students and dairy farmers alike! While students are enjoying nutritious and wholesome dairy products, they are benefiting local Dairy farmers by consuming their products!

🥛🥛Cheers to the Whole Milk For Healthy Kids Act!
