Sunset Riders Motorcycle Club

Sunset Riders Motorcycle Club http://www.sunsetridersmc.org/ Club was founded in 1950. Club was incorporated in 1959. The club recieves royalty checks from several oil wells on the farm.

The club acquired a 66-acre farm, built a drag strip, a TT scramble Track, and a dirt short track. The club hosted the 1964 National TT Scramble

For 11 years, the Sunset Riders were one of the top Ten Motorcycle Clubs in the AMA. There are no longer races at the farm and the track has become over-grown with trees. The club has always been very charitable and given many donations to various organi

zations over the years. We’ve ridden millions of safe road miles enjoying the comradeship of fellow members and pray the next 60 years will be as good as the past 60. Special Note: Early morning of February 12, 1970, a fire completely destroyed the Zanotti Motor Co. In this fire was lost all club trophies, awards, plaques, and citations which they had acquired over the years as one of the top Motorcycle Clubs in the entire U.S.A. Also destroyed were the records and numerous pictures of various members and events. None of these things can ever be replaced, and this was a great loss to the club. The one thing the fire could not destroy however was the reputation the members had build up over the years for being neat, courteous, helpful, and well mannered; a reputation for riding clean, quiet bikes and riding safely and within the law at all times.
