Worthington Township Fire Department – Snowfall Update for Richland County
Richland County is expected to see 3–6 inches of snow between now and Tuesday night. Roads could get slick quickly, and visibility may drop at times. Please plan ahead and take a few simple precautions to stay safe:
❄️ Snow Safety Tips
• Give yourself extra travel time and slow down—snow-covered roads can hide ice.
• Clear snow from your vehicle completely, including lights, mirrors, and roof.
• Check wiper blades and washer fluid before heading out.
• Keep a small winter kit in your vehicle: blanket, gloves, flashlight, and a phone charger.
• Stay back from plows and give them room to work.
• Shovel smart—take breaks and push rather than lift when possible.
• Keep furnace and dryer vents clear of drifting snow.
