Joey's PAW is a 501c3 non profit organization that helps give dogs in need, the gift of mobility, with wheelchairs, prosthetic limbs etc... Joey's PAW started in 2017 when the founders (Charlie & Tanya) adopted Joey. When we adopted Joey on October 23, 2016 he had both rear legs intentionally severed at 6 weeks old. Joey was blessed to have Merrick Pet Care and generous donations help him get pros

thetics to get walking again. It was brought to our attention that there is a real need for prosthetics and wheelchairs for dogs. We knew that we wanted to help other dogs in need so we started Joey's PAW, a non profit charity. There are so many dogs in need of adoption with special needs we are hoping to show the absolute JOY of owning a special needs dog. Our goal is to give back and help as many dogs as we can not only get prosthetics and wheels but get adopted as well. Meet Bruiser, a one-year-old Staffordshire Pit Bull rescue who has already endured more suffering than any dog should ever experience. After being rescued from a neglectful home, Bruiser was tragically attacked by an untrained and unsupervised family member’s dog, leaving him with devastating injuries to his mouth, jaw, nose, throat, and right shoulder. While he bravely recovered from his facial and throat injuries, a severe and life-threatening infection developed in his right shoulder, making the amputation of his front right leg necessary to save his life. As a young, large-breed dog, Bruiser relies heavily on his front limbs for balance, mobility, and long-term joint health. A prosthetic leg would greatly improve his quality of life, help prevent future injuries, and give him the opportunity to live the long, active life he deserves. Despite everything he has endured, Bruiser remains incredibly loving, gentle, and full of compassion. He simply wants the chance to run, play, and enjoy life like any other happy dog. Please consider helping us provide Bruiser with a prosthetic leg so this resilient young survivor can have the bright future he deserves.

Hope doesn’t happen overnight, but every step forward is a victory. With each part we help, we’re restoring mobility, rebuilding confidence, and giving dogs the opportunity to live the life they deserve.

Healing is more than physical recovery. A wheelchair can give a dog the freedom to run, play, explore, and experience life again. It restores independence and allows dogs to do the things they once thought were lost forever. For many dogs, their wheels become the first step toward renewed confidence and happiness.

A prosthetic offers healing in a different way. It helps restore balance, strength, and mobility while giving a dog the opportunity to walk more naturally and regain what was taken from them. With each step, a prosthetic can reduce pain, improve quality of life, and provide the chance for a brighter future.

Every wheelchair and every prosthetic represents more than a device—it represents healing. We’ve had quite a few people ask who Joey is.

This is Joey. He is the reason we started Joey’s P.A.W. He inspired our mission to make sure dogs have access to the mobility devices they need to thrive and, our mission to help the rescue and shelter dogs, the opportunity to find loving homes.

Joey is the reason we wanted to give all dogs a chance to live their absolute best life. He showed us that a disability does not define a dog and that every dog deserves the opportunity to run, play, love, and be loved.

Today, Joey continues to inspire everything we do. His strength, determination, and joy remind us every day why this mission matters. He is the heart and soul of Joey’s P.A.W., and through every wheelchair, every prosthetic, and every dog we help, Joey’s story continues to create hope and change lives around the world.

I’m thrilled to share that “Bow Tie Boone Meets Gary the Shy Groundhog” has been selected as a finalist for the National Indie Excellence Awards!

I am incredibly honored and proud. Winning an Indie Excellence Award for “Bow Tie Boone” was an amazing achievement, and now being chosen as a finalist for my second book is truly exciting.

Meet Nubs ❤️

This sweet boy needs two prosthetic back legs so he can run, play, and enjoy life. The total cost is $1,200. If 240 people donate just $5 each, we can help make that happen for him.

This is a message from his dad:
Nubs was found as a puppy, born with no back paws. He doesn't let it slow him down too much, but it's also clear that walking around around on his nubs is uncomfortable as he frequently walks in a handstand. His core strength is as strong as his love for life and everyone he meets. He is now almost 2 years old, and even though he does not know life any differently, we know that this sweet little guy would be so much happier if he had a little help getting around easier..
