Alper's Champions

Alper's Champions Alper's Champions carries on the legacy of Tom Alper through the Camp of Champions, Tommy’s Kicks for Kids and the Tom Alper Memorial Scholarship.

Tom Alper, a physical education teacher, coach and mentor, understood the importance of participating in sports for children. His desire to make sure everyone had that opportunity possessed him to frequently buy sneakers for his students who could not afford them, and it ultimately led to his founding of the Camp of Champions, a football (and now cheerleading) day camp for local special needs chil

dren. When Tom passed away in November 2014, his family, coworkers and friends knew that the best way to honor him would be to carry on his charitable endeavors. Alper's Champions is the result of this shared goal. To contribute to Alper's Champions, please send checks made payable to "Alper's Champions" at 401 Rock Run Road, Elizabeth, PA 15037. If you would like to volunteer your efforts, please send us a message, as this work, like Tom's legacy, will continue on.
