Miss 22 Quties Special Needs Beauty Pageant We are on a mission to build friendships and instill confidence in young women with special needs through our annual beauty pageant!

The pageant builds friendships and instills confidence in young adults with special needs. Throughout the year we participate in different activities such as parades, fundraising events and community service. Miss 22 Quties Special Needs Beauty Pageant was started in August of 2011 with 12 participants and now, three years later, has 21 young ladies involved. The pageant was founded by Tammy Rose

in an effort to raise awareness of 22q deletion, a syndrome that one of her daughters has, while giving another one of her daughters the opportunity to step outside of her comfort zone and show the world the talents she possesses, as she also has special needs. Miss 22 Quties welcomes young women ages 14 to 25 years with all types of special needs. The girls open the show with a group dance, followed by sharing their individual talents with the audience. Talents have included song and dance, escaping from a straightjacket and stand-up comedy. The pageant continues with the question and answer portion where the girls don their evening gowns, while being escorted by young men who may also have a special need. The pageant concludes with announcing Miss Congeniality, the first and second runner up and the crowning of Miss 22 Qutie.

Thank you for filling our stage and our hearts with so much joy, confidence, and friendship over the years. 💖

After much reflection and care, our board has made the very difficult decision to step away from hosting the pageant. This choice was not made lightly, and it comes from a place of deep love and respect for our participants and their families.

While this chapter is closing, the spirit of what we’ve built together will continue to shine through future opportunities to celebrate, empower, and connect our girls. Thank you for being part of this beautiful journey. We are forever grateful for your trust, your energy, and your support. 💕
