The Cranberry Area Toastmasters meeting on February 4th was a special occasion for several reasons. To begin with, it was the very first time that we had managed to meet in person in the new year, and it became a time for many of us to reconnect after the holidays and the reclusiveness brought on by the severe cold in January.
Not only that, but this first in person meeting of 2025 succeeded in setting the tone for the year when no less than six visitors walked through the doors! We were very grateful to welcome Mario Rubino, Susie Conley, Julie Evanich, Mandy Sizer, Mario Wilfong, and Sherri Inman as guests to our meeting. All of them seemed to enjoy themselves and let us know that they felt very welcome and encouraged to practice their public speaking skills.
And as if all of that wasn't enough, we were lucky enough to be spectators to a practice run of a competition speech given to us by Mario Rubino, who plans on taking his riveting and compelling performance to this year's International Speech Contest.
Thank you once again to our guests and to everyone who makes our meetings possible. Cranberry Area Toastmasters is dedicated to aiding any individual who desires to join the chance to improve their public speaking skills, whether the goals be of a professional variety or more of a desire for eloquence in one's personal life.
