Breathe PA is continuing to empower students with the knowledge they need to make healthy choices.

Recently, our To***co Program Manager, Cat Aranda, provided va**ng prevention education to 116 students at Filter Academics Plus School in Philadelphia. Students learned about the risks of adolescent va**ng and explored healthy coping strategies that can help prevent ni****ne use.

Through partnerships with school nurses, educators, and administrators, Breathe PA is proud to deliver evidence-based ni****ne education and prevention programs to students of all ages. We look forward to expanding our impact and strengthening these partnerships in the upcoming school year!

Every child deserves the chance to breathe easier and live healthier. 💙

Our new asthma education video highlights the importance of symptom recognition, trigger management, medication awareness, and strong communication between families, schools, and healthcare providers. It also shares how Breathe PA’s School Asthma Initiative (SAI) helps students build confidence and independence in managing their asthma.

Did you know World No To***co Day is a global initiative led by the World Health Organization to raise awareness about the dangers of to***co use and to promote healthier, to***co-free lifestyles? It’s a day to learn, reflect, and take action toward protecting our lungs and our future.

This year, the Clarion Area School District TRU (To***co Resistance Unit) group got involved in a creative way! Students collaborated on a poster that will be shared school-wide to spread awareness and encourage their peers to stay to***co- and ni****ne-free.

They celebrated with fun, interactive activities throughout the day to keep the message engaging and impactful.

Together, we can build a healthier, to***co-free generation!

Breathe PA was excited to return to St. Edmund's Academy for the second year of our Student Asthma Initiative (SAI)!

Building strong relationships with school nurses and school communities is an important part of helping students with asthma feel supported, safe, and confident throughout the school day. We are grateful for the opportunity to continue partnering with St. Edmund’s Academy to provide asthma education and resources that help students better understand and manage their asthma.

Programs like these allow us to work together with nurses, educators, students, and families to create healthier school environments and ensure students have the support they need to thrive.

Thank you to the staff and school nurses at St. Edmund’s Academy for welcoming us back and for your continued commitment to student health and wellness!

As we gather with family and friends, we pause to reflect on their sacrifice and express our gratitude for those who served.

Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day from all of us at Breathe PA ❤️
