We are here for you Sumter County!

As temperatures continue to drop, a couple of local organizations will be opening their doors to help keep our community safe and warm.

Starting today at 5 p.m., the Refuge at Jumper Creek in Bushnell is opening a cold weather shelter for the community. It will remain open through Friday night.

The Salvation Army of Lake and Sumter County is opening a warming center on Friday, Jan. 16, from 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. Warming services will also be available on Monday, Jan. 19, from 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.
