People keep coming to see what all the noise is about at the Iowa State Fair 🦬 🍔

Have walked across the grounds several times on a restock run, and have overheard people say, “When we get done with …., let’s go check out that bison stand…”

Two nights ago, was told “That was hands down the best burger I’ve ever had.”

Yesterday heard, “So glad you got into the fair. You guys are a great addition to this fair, and the food is great.”

A new study by leading ancient DNA researchers at the University of California, Santa Cruz, used paleogenomics to create a genetic roadmap to help guide the restoration of another iconic species once on the brink of extinction: the North American bison.

We've said it before and we'll say it again, our members do some very cool things!

We are honored and excited to once again be invited back to the Iowa State Fair for the Farm to Fair Supper, hosted by the Iowa Department of Agriculture!

Being included in this event means so much to us. We are incredibly grateful to Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig and his entire team for the continued support they have shown Sunset Hills Bison Ranch over the years.

Secretary Naig has taken the time to visit our ranch a few times, and members of his team make it out our way often. That kind of support for Iowa farmers, livestock producers, and small agricultural businesses does not go unnoticed. We truly appreciate their willingness to show up, learn about what we are doing, and continue supporting agriculture across our state.

We’re proud to represent Iowa agriculture and the bison industry again this year, and we can’t wait to be part of another Farm to Fair Supper at the Iowa State Fair!
