is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization named after the late Ethiopian music master, pianist and band leader, Teferra Mekonnen. Based in the United States, TMF was established to engage in projects that support the community through humanitarian, mentoring, educational, cultural and artistic projects.

In observance of World Book Day, Teferra Mekonnen Foundation will host its first book drive on Sunday, April 23, 2023, at Silver Spring Civic Center.

Bring as many books (including school supplies) as possible.

Light refreshments will be served.

Our friends organized the toothbrush 🪥/toothpaste drive to Heart's Place to help spread bright and healthy smiles and Teferra Mekonnen Foundation, through its founder, Leaynet Woldeleul (who has participated in races) is proud to be part of this cause, by donating new toothbrushes and toothpaste tubes.
