📚 TEACH ME TUESDAY 📚

It’s Teach Me Tuesday here at the Village! 💗

School is a BIG part of our girls’ days around here. And if you have teenagers, you probably already know that some days school goes great…and some days, well, not so much. 😂

For some of our girls, school comes pretty easy. For others, it takes a little more work and a whole lot of encouragement. We celebrate the good grades and the accomplishments, but we also walk through the missing assignments, the extra study time, and those moments when they just want to give up.

And that’s one of the things I love about our teachers. They don’t just teach math, science, English, and history. They pour into our girls every single day. They encourage them, push them when they need pushed, hold them accountable, and remind them that they CAN do hard things.

But more than anything, they get to point them back to Jesus through it all. ❤️

Because around here, school isn’t just about getting a good grade. It’s another opportunity for our girls to grow, learn responsibility, build confidence, and begin seeing that God has given each one of them gifts and a purpose.

So today, would you say a little prayer for our girls AND our teachers? Pray for patience on the hard days, focus when they would rather be doing just about anything else 😂, and lots of grace as they continue learning and growing together.

We can’t wait to use Teach Me Tuesdays to show you a little more of what happens inside our school here at the Village! 📚💕

✨ MONDAY MOMENT ✨

Today’s Monday Moment is going to focus on one girl in particular. 💗

This year is an extra special one for Alyssa because she is a SENIOR! 🎓

Alyssa is smart, beautiful, and loves the Lord. As she looks toward life after Victory Village, she is interested in becoming a 911 dispatcher—a job that takes a very special kind of person. Someone who can remain calm in the middle of a crisis, help others through some of their hardest moments, and be a steady voice when it is needed most.

As Alyssa begins her senior year, we are praying for her and for whatever God has in store for this next chapter of her life. We pray that she continues to grow in her faith, discovers exactly where God is leading her, and enjoys every moment of this final year.

We are so excited to watch this next chapter unfold!

💗 FILL UP FRIDAY 💗

Every Sunday at the Village, we have what we call our “Family Meeting.” It’s a time for the girls and staff to come together, go over important announcements and details, talk about the week ahead, and make sure everyone is on the same page.

One of my favorite parts of our Family Meeting is our shout-outs! Girls and staff get the opportunity to recognize each other and point out the good they have seen throughout the week.

And we thought… why not take that encouragement even further?

Encouragement is so important, especially at the beginning of a new year at the Village. Some of our older girls are used to the program and know what to expect, but for our new girls, everything is still new. There is homesickness, learning new routines and expectations, getting back into the rhythm of school, and next week they will begin therapy.

That is A LOT of change happening all at once.

So we are starting Fill Up Friday! 💕

Each Friday, we want to give those who follow and support our ministry an opportunity to help us fill these girls up before another week begins.

Maybe it’s a Bible verse that has helped you through a hard season. Maybe it’s something you wish someone would have told you as a teenager. Maybe it’s simply a reminder to keep going, that hard things can produce growth, or that God is with them even when things feel really hard.

Leave your encouragement in the comments, and on Sunday we will choose some to share with the girls during our Family Meeting. 💗

💗✨ MONDAY MOMENTS AT THE VILLAGE ✨💗

Each Monday we would love to share a little piece of our Village with you!

Today’s Monday Moment is focused on something new we added this year—weekly video chats with our girls and their families! 📱💕

Our girls have always had scheduled phone calls home, but this year we added a weekly video chat too. We are only a couple weeks in, and we are already seeing what a difference it can make.

There is just something different about getting to see the faces of the people you love instead of only hearing their voices. Whether it’s seeing Mom and Dad, saying hi to siblings, getting a peek at a favorite pet, sharing some laughs or just seeing home for a few minutes—those little moments mean so much. 💗

Being away from home isn’t always easy. Our girls are doing some hard work while they are here, and staying connected to the people at home who love them and are cheering them on is so important.

And we have to give a special shoutout to our amazing Case Manager and Athletic Director—and all the other unofficial titles she carries around here—Kristi Colvin! 💕

Kristi is such an incredible part of our team and is always looking for ways to make the Village better and help us grow. These video chats were her idea, and she didn’t just have the idea—she put it into action and made it a reality for our girls and families.

It takes a lot of people with a lot of different ideas, gifts and talents to make this little Village work. We are so thankful for people like Kristi who see an idea and run with it. 💗

And judging by the smiles we are seeing during these chats, I think it’s safe to say this one was a pretty great idea. 🥰

her with difficulty along her journey...Love also taught herself to read at 5 years old and survived a earthquake of a loss at 300 thousand...it was nice to see so many new girls stand up and share what Love has helped them with already...We are excited to see what your new year will bring for all of us.🥰 We also had one
of our board members Bob Friesen working on a project with Scott.

We made it to our first weekend at the Village! 💗🙌

After a big week of moving in, starting school, and adjusting to a new routine, the girls got to sleep in a little this morning and are now enjoying some crafts and TV time. This weekend is all about slowing down, getting some rest, and continuing to settle into Village life.

Tomorrow, the girls will attend church right here on campus before we reset and get ready for our first full week of school, sports, and Village life! 🙏

Victory Village is more than a workplace — it’s a ministry.

We serve middle and high school girls who are working toward healing, growth, and breaking the chains holding them back, with Jesus Christ at the center of everything we do.

We are looking for women who feel called to walk alongside our girls for a season. Our role is not to replace parents, but to come alongside families as girls work toward successfully returning home.

Happy first day of school at Victory Village! 💕📚

Praying over each of these girls as they start a brand new school year. Praying for growth, lots of laughter, new memories, and for God to work in BIG ways in each of their lives. We know every day won’t be easy, but we are so excited to see what God has planned for these girls this year!
