Ángel (11yo, Electric category, 2nd yr competitor), Ulisses (10yo, Electric category, 1st yr), and Cora (8yo, Environmental Science category, 1st yr) participated today at 4-H District Activity Day & ALL received 1st place in their category/age group! Yancey County 4-H had a buzzin’ time this weekend with Toe Cane Beekeepers Assoc. - Mitchell, Avery & Yancey NC at Mayland Community College’s Apiary! Yancey County 4-H had an amazing time at Hooked on Fishing Camp! Last week, youth enjoyed a behind-the-scenes fish hatchery tour, learned casting skills, caught fish, and explored the great outdoors. A big Thank You to NC Fish & Wildlife for helping make it a memorable experience!🍀

We had so much fun today at Dig In! Yancey Community Garden. Youth were excited to make herbal teas from the garden and help plant veggies! 4-H Garden Club is a wonderful hands-on experience that is open to all youth. We love seeing everyone learn, explore, and grow together in the kids garden!
