September is Su***de Prevention Month 💛

Su***de prevention starts with connection.

Every one of us has the opportunity to be the difference for someone who may be struggling. Sometimes, it’s as simple as noticing a change, reaching out, listening without judgment, or reminding someone that they don’t have to face a difficult moment alone.

This September, help raise awareness and be part of su***de prevention by:

💛 Start the conversation. Ask someone how they’re really doing—and be willing to listen.

💛 Listen without judgment. You don’t need to have all the answers. Being present matters.

💛 Take changes seriously. Withdrawal, hopelessness, or significant changes in behavior can be signs that someone needs support.

💛 Encourage connection. Help someone connect with a trusted person, mental health professional, or crisis resource when additional support is needed.

💛 Share resources. You never know who in your circle may need to know where to turn.

💛 Check in—then check in again. A single message can remind someone that they matter and that they are not alone.

Most importantly, remember: you don't have to be a mental health professional to make a difference. You just have to be willing to care, listen, and reach out.

This Su***de Prevention Month, let’s create more opportunities for connection, compassion, and hope. Together, we can be the difference.
