Every sin that is not dealt with in your generation will become an authority over the next one.
It begins with a ruler, the lowest rank in the demonic hierarchy, gaining access through one person's tolerated sin. As that sin is left unrepented within the individual's heart, it becomes manifest in the hands of their children. As the family grows and the pattern spreads, the demons empowering that sin lifestyle graduate to a higher level of authority. Families become communities. Communities become people groups. Nations.
Any sin that Noah took with him off the ark automatically influenced his family. Had all family members chosen to walk in it as well, the sin and the demonic authority behind it would have continued to have influence as they repopulated the world. What once had a small influence gains by time and by the absence of repentance a great and widening influence.
This is how a regional culture of poverty, violence, addiction, or broken family becomes so deeply embedded that entire generations accept it as simply the way things are. It is not the way things are. It is the way things became because someone, somewhere upstream in the bloodline, handed a demonic authority a legal foothold that nobody ever closed.
The believer who repents at the root does not just free themselves. They alter the inheritance of everyone who comes after them.
