Lonesome Historic Site The purpose of Lonesome Historic Site is to preserve the cabin and the history of pioneer ancestors.

Lonesome cabin was built in 1820, and is the oldest remaining dwelling in this part of Dickson County. Its owners, the Austin Family, are launching a project to create a pioneer park on the property, featuring Lonesome Cabin and including other buildings and artifacts of the 1800s. Once complete the park will be open to the public and handed over to a local government organization for ongoing oper

When you purchase your ticket to the Family Fun Fundraiser Supper, your name will be entered for a chance to win one of two unique raffle prizes!

Prize #1: A handcrafted Jack Daniel’s bottle lamp featuring a rustic wood base and industrial pipe design. Such a fun, one-of-a-kind piece for a home, office, man cave, or bar area!

Prize #2: A “Read More Books” gift collection featuring a Read More Books t-shirt, salt and pepper shakers, a ceramic napkin holder with two packs of napkins, all gathered together in a silver mesh bowl.

Your supper ticket is your raffle entry, and you must be present to win!

Long before Lonesome Cabin became a place to gather, it was simply home.

Built around 1820 as a wedding gift for William Green Austin and Dicy Horner Austin, this cabin has stood for more than 200 years, preserving the stories of generations past.

Sometimes, knowing the history makes a place come alive. This year, members of the Austin family will be there to welcome you and share the story of the place their family still call home.
