A Friendly Reminder to Our Soccer Community
Dear Parents, Guardians, and Community Members,
We want to take a moment to share an important reminder regarding the supervision of children while they are participating in or observing soccer activities at the park.
Our soccer programs are a wonderful opportunity for children to play, participate, and spend time with their friends and families. We recently became aware of some concerning behavior involving children throwing rocks at City employee vehicles and at the City Hall building.
We understand that children will sometimes make mistakes or make choices they don’t fully think through. However, throwing rocks can create a serious safety concern and may result in damage to vehicles or property or, more importantly, cause injury to someone nearby.
We kindly ask parents and guardians to help us by ensuring that children are appropriately supervised while at the park, whether they are participating in a soccer game or practice or simply observing from the sidelines. Please remind children that our parks, City facilities, vehicles, and surrounding property should be treated with respect and care.
A simple conversation and reminder can go a long way toward helping us maintain a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for everyone in our community.
We are grateful for the families who participate in and support our soccer programs. Our goal is to provide children with positive opportunities to play, learn, and have fun, and we appreciate everyone’s help in making that possible.
