We are set up and ready at the Touch a Truck event at the Dickson Municipal Airport.

Imagination Library will be set up to enroll children, give out free books, and receive donations! We can’t wait to see everyone there!

Touch-A-Truck is coming back—but don't let the name fool you.

Yes, there will be trucks. But we're taking over the Dickson Municipal Airport, which means some of the coolest vehicles you'll see might not have wheels on the ground for very long.

Join us October 3 for Touch-A-Truck and the fly-in, with aircraft, airplane rides and opportunities to get an up-close look at vehicles that fly as well as those that drive.
And yes, there will still be plenty of big equipment to explore.

October 3 | 10 AM–2 PM

We will be present at the following events and possibly a few more. If you have time to volunteer to help enroll children or hand out free books, come out and introduce yourself!

Edit addition:

The Polar Express is an event at the Dickson Fairgrounds in the Pageants Building that is put on by Amy Pilkington Ashby and the Fairest of the Fair contestants. They collect winter coats, have vendors, Santa Claus, and draw for prizes. I will share the post from them when it gets closer but we set up a table last year and enrolled children and gave away books.

Give Like Dolly Day is coming September 25!

Dolly Parton believed in giving back and helping children dream bigger—and this year, we’re celebrating
that spirit right here in Dickson County through Give Like Dolly Day.

On September 25, we’re inviting our community to join us in giving back to children by supporting Dolly
Parton’s Imagination Library of Dickson County. Your support helps make it possible for children in our
community to receive a free, high-quality book every month from birth to age 5.

Look for Dolly Day info here in the next few days. Dickson Downtown merchants are having events and things throughout the day. Reading Rock Books will have our standup Dolly on display for pictures. More information soon.

On behalf of the Dickson County Imagination Library board members, we would like to say thank you for the ongoing financial support we receive from the community. We appreciate each dollar donated to help us pay our part of the postage to mail out books to Dickson County children.

One of Dolly’s final requests was that, in lieu of flowers, those wanting to honor her make a donation to the Imagination Library. ❤️📚

If you’d like to honor Dolly while helping local children continue receiving books each month, I’ll put the link to donate to our Dickson County Imagination Library in the comments.

What an incredible legacy to help continue. ❤️
