Congrats to our member Chloe for this accomplishment!

Congratulations to Lily Wratchford and Chloe Niemeyer on being selected as finalists for the National 4-H Congress in Atlanta, GA this coming fall. They will now have in-person interviews during 4-H Summer Conference to decide if they will represent Oregon 4-H at the National Congress. Well deserved recognition for these two Harney County 4-Hers!

Our Club and Harney County Junior Leaders decorated 5 dozen cookies and signed Valentines cards to go out with home delivered meals through Harney Hub next week. It’s part of the nationwide campaign.

Bakers- our gift basket at the Trail of Trees made over $170 for the Burns Elks Lodge! Thanks for your donations and work making ornaments.

Let's take December off for the Holidays, we'll meet in January.

Just a reminder that Harney Co 4-H will be participating in some events at the Christmas Jamboree Saturday December 13.

Sagebrush Decorating- 11 am in front of Burns Ford
Ornament Making- 12pm - 2 pm Foundry Building (across from Bella Java)
Parade- 5 pm, start decorating at 4pm on N Alder

The Bake Believers did a great job making salt dough ornaments and decorating their tree at the Trail of Trees event! Be sure to come out and visit this week!

There is a nice gift basket full of baking supplies available for bid. Sales of the basket will support the Burns Elks Lodge 1680. In addition to providing food baskets for our community during the holidays, they also host the annual 4-H Fundraising Dinner in March, and we are happy to show our thanks to them.

Join us for the Sagebrush Christmas Decorating Contest on December 13 at 11:00am in front of the Burns Ford Garage. Youth groups—up to four participants per group—may represent sports teams, clubs, church groups, or tribal groups. Each group will have one hour to decorate their tree using supplies brought from home. Trees and stands are generously donated by the Crane FFA, and judging will be conducted by the HCFR Royalty.

Cash prizes of $100, $75, and $50 will be awarded to the top three groups, with prize money paid directly to the organizations the winning youth represent.

Only six groups will be accepted, so sign up soon!

Our 4-H Association meeting is rescheduled for November 19.

So- bakers and prospective teen leaders we will meet at 6pm on Nov. 12 at the courthouse. We will be finishing ornaments for the Trail of Trees. Please bring something for our baking gift basket (festive sprinkles, cookie cutters, baking mixes, etc) 🙂
