Mrs D has not been making any money for a few months. D's disability only stretches so far. The animals are always our first priority. Everything is out of pocket until we can find Corporate Sponsors, get some Grants. We're trying. We'll keep going. Sometimes it harder than other times. Things are looking up. Mrs D has a job with a steady check but currently we need help. Donations are tax deductible.
Prayers are also appreciated.

Venmo, PayPal, Zeffy, GoFundMe are all on the Linktr.ee/DzzSpotReptarium

Thank you for your support.

My sister used to work at an animal shelter. Several times people would drop off animals in boxes when she wasn't there.

PLEASE DO NOT DO THAT WITH REPTILES AND DON'T TURN THEM LOSE TO BE FREE IN THE WILD.

We had a call this morning of a reptile at the Co-Op. It's not one of ours but we will take it in if it can be caught. It was almost ran over by a semi hauling hay. If it were colder outside it would die. Not to mention other animals attacking it.
We will take in Non-Native and Captive-bred Reptiles but please let us know to pick them up.

We don't know if this is a lost pet or not. (There aren't many reptile keepers in Burns)
And no this isn’t a snake like someone reported crossing the road the other day.

If you're going camping remember to check your area and be safe. You're in their neighborhood. Their territory. Did you know Copperhead venom is used in Cancer Treatment?

This past weekend Butler County EMS responded to a call on Veterans Point, after a person got bit by a Copperhead snake. These snakes are not strangers to the El Dorado Lake area by any means. If your spending time at the lake this summer, please be alert!

They love damp, dark spots—like under stacked logs, brush piles, and rocks. Rains can push copperheads out of their burrows and onto higher ground.

I've been falling behind on posting. I (Mrs D) started a new job. It's been crazy. But amazing at the same time. If you don't know about Wreaths Across America go check it out. If you see the Mobile Education Exhibit in your area come say hello. We're headed to the Knoxville, TN area this week.

We're still taking in surrendered non-native and captive-bred reptiles

D (my husband) is still doing birthday parties, events and building the Reptarium. It’s spring so there's a lot on the to-do list. Remember you can help by donating. There are several ways to do that.
1) Direct Donation through Zeffy
2) Monthly Donation through Zeffy to get a leaf on the tree of life.
3) Memorial Brick Project
4) Donate your old vehicle
5) PayPal
6) Venmo
7) GoFundMe
All of these options are on the Linktr.ee/DzzSpotReptarium site.

You can also make an in-kind donation.
1) concrete
2) building materials
3) landscaping materials
4) the use of landscaping and building equipment
5) enclosure supplies
6) food for the animals

Stay tuned for more.

To whoever saw the big snake crossing the road on Nickerson in Burns, Kansas then reported it to the City. Thank you. It wasn't one of ours. Our reptiles are all accounted for. DeLane saw one of the neighborhood cats playing with a Garter Snake. And there may have been a native Ratsnake crossing the road. It's that time of year when snakes and other critters are on the move. But it's good to know the neighbors and community are watching out for us.
If you see a snake that you don't think is a wild snake, try to get a picture and location. There are people who abandon pet reptiles just like some people abandon dogs or cats. If it's not native, we'll try to locate it to help it. We can't do native wildlife.
But thank you again for keeping your eye out.

It's been a few years but Mrs D is back on the road with the Wreaths Across America Mobile Education Exhibit. Look for the exhibit to be in your area. Stop by and say hello. Learn more about Wreaths Across America.

This job will allow Mrs D to be home more for the D'zz Spot events.
