WORSHIP SERVICE 10-4-26

It was great to have Pastor Jeremiah Dowd back with us and in the pulpit after a week of vacation!

He played his guitar and led the congregational songs: “Nothing but the Blood,” “Abide,” “Rock of Ages,” “Doxology,” and “Jesus Paid it All” (dismissal).

Judy Molder and Angel Partain conducted Children’s Church.

Bro. Jeremiah’s message was “Understanding Communion” based on Matthew 26:26-29 and 1 Corinthians 11:23-29.

The Lord’s Supper was held at the last passover.

There were three parts to his message:

• The institution of the Lord’s Supper.

• The significance of the Lord’s Supper.

• The preparation for the Lord’s Supper.

We need to set our minds on what Christ has done for us. The crucifixation is worth remembering.

The Lord’s Supper is a proclaimation of the future return of Jesus to earth. Jesus died but He is risen. Only those who are saved should partake in the observance. If you are not saved, now is the time to repent of your sins and become saved.

We then observed the Lord’s Supper.

Join us each Sunday morning for Prayer Hour 8-9 a.m., Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. and Worship Service at 10:30 a.m. Next week we’ll resume messages from the Gospel John.

If unable to attend in person, our Worship Services are posted live on Facebook and are archived for 30 days. You can view today’s service in its entirety at your convenience on our page. Additionally, our sermons are posted on YouTube each week.
