Rep Tim Walberg (MI-05) has introduced the Responsible Cormorant Management and Control Act to support science-based management of double-crested cormorants nationwide.
Overabundant populations are impacting fish stocks across the U.S., and this legislation would empower states and tribes, working with regional flyway councils, to manage these impacts responsibly.

“This bill provides a much-needed, science-based framework to protect fisheries and aquatic habitats,” said ASA’s Connor Bevan.
