PLEASE support the Bake Sales and "Help our Neighbors Food Drives" on Election Day, this Tuesday (March 3), at both Integrated Arts Academy At HO Wheeler and Sustainability Academy at Lawrence Barnes Elementary From 7:00am-7:00pm, Hilary Martin, volunteers and bakers, and I will have a bake sale and collect items for Feeding Champlain Valley at IAA. The Bake Sale supports the PTO so that kids can have some cool adventures, and purchases can be made by donation. And Sustainability Academy at Lawrence Barnes Elementary will be doing the same!

Feeding Champlain Valley is specifically hoping for: soap (both dish and personal use), shampoo, hair conditioner, cooking oil, diapers (any size), eggs, potatoes, and tomatoes. Other items consistently requested are: canned proteins (chicken, beef, fish), peanut butter, cereal & oatmeal, canned fruits and veggies, pasta & sauce, rices, shelf-stable milk & juice, toiletries (toothbrushes, toothpaste, body soap & washes, menstrual products), and baby food.

Hi Neighbors, Tomorrow, Feb 11th, is Crossing Guard Appreciation Day! So please make a card, say thank you to a person who keeps our kids safe, some gesture that makes them feel cherished. At Integrated Arts Academy At HO Wheeler, they are John Hollowlegs and Martha. Not sure who folks are at other street crossings and Sustainability Academy at Lawrence Barnes Elementary, but please spread the word and the love. Thank you!

Join your Old North End neighbors and friends old and new this Thursday, 5:30-8:30pm at the ONE Community Center, 20 Allen St. for the Ward 2 Neighborhood Planning Assembly and Community Dinner!
The free holiday-themed meal includes Potato Kugel, Hearty Butternut Squash Soup, Cheery Quinoa & Kale Salad, and Apple Cider Donut Cake - yum!
Dinner is 5:30-6:30pm, with music by Ben Wang, followed by the Ward 2 NPA at 6:30pm.

TODAY, Tuesday, is the first ONE Farmers Market of the season! WooHoo! It will be in Dewey Park, across from IAA, from 3:00-6:30pm. Hungry for community? Join your neighbors at this Thursday's Community Dinner and Ward 2 Neighborhood Planning Assembly!
This month's free veggie-powered meal is 5:30-6:30pm with A Taste of Central Mexico featuring Guest Chef José Ureña of Casa Birria. The delicious menu includes Veggie Morisqueta, Spring Salad with Creamy Cilantro Dressing, Spiced Roasted Roots, and Bizcochitos. There will also be art activities, and music by Ana Ruesink & Arlo Bolles. Everyone is welcome!
The Ward 2 NPA - Burlington VT agenda includes information about the Pomeroy Park playground redevelopment and Archibald Street traffic calming measures as well as updates from State Legislators. As always, the meeting starts with announcements and a public forum.

Hey neighbors! Don't miss this Thursday's Ward 2 NPA meeting to learn about important Town Meeting Day issues.
SPECIAL LOCATION this month due to work being done at the Community Center: Richard Kemp Center, 372 North Winooski Ave.
Please note that there is no community dinner, but we will be serving up hearty snacks and coffee/tea during the meeting.
