The Burlington Police Patrolmen’s Association (BPPA), established in 1988, is the law enforcement labor union that represents Burlington (MA) Police Patrol Officers. Since 2003, the BPPA has affiliated with the Massachusetts Coalition of Police (Mass COP), the largest law enforcement union in the Commonwealth representing over 4,000 police officers. e National Association of Police Organizations (NAPO). Additionally, the BPPA maintains professional membership with the Massachusetts Police Association (MPA). All BPPA officials and members are full time sworn Burlington Police Patrol Officers. The BPPA is a non-profit organization recognized as tax-exempt under the Internal Revenue Code, Section 501(c)(5), which provides for exemption of labor unions. The BPPA’s mission is to improve the benefits and working conditions for our members and build strong ties to the community we serve.
